I dont know how to switch my phone to this other phone i have and switch it to my plan which is verizon wireless

Switching phones should be as easy as just moving the SIM card from one phone to the other.
There are a couple of factors however. If your current plan is through Verizon wireless, then your new phone must be another phone from Verizon or an Unlocked Phone.
If the new phone is locked to another carrier like AT&T or Bell etc then it will not work.
To switch the SIM card, power off both phones, locate the SIM Card. if it is an apple phone, there is a small door that you need to open with a pin or paper clip.
Other phones may need you to remove the back cover.
Next check to see that the receiver slot on both phones is the same size. If you have a larger SIM card and the new phone needs a smaller one, I would suggest you take it to Verizon.
If you have a smaller SIM and the new phone needs the larger size, you can buy a caddy at places like best buy, Staples or even a smaller phone shop.
Once you move the SIM card over, power up the new phone and it should work fine.
The SIM (Subscriber Information Module) carries the information about your phone number, plan etc.

I am trying to use the sim card and my current payment plans with boost on my old at&t phone that i got unlocked, but i need to know how to make that work..

the sim card is still tied to the previous service provider
get a new sim card from your new service provider
keep the plastic card that the sim card is attached to as there is the PUK code that you will need to open the phone stamped on that plastic card

Insert sim card

I'm not sure what the question is you are asking concerning a "sim card" but if it's How to put a SIM card in your cell phone you need a pin to put in the hole and it will pop open, However if your question is that your phone keeps telling you to insert a SIM card then you need to turn off your phone first and then go into the place where it's at and remove the SIM card and then put it back in and then turn your phone back on.

How can i unlock my sim that is requesting for puk number.this is the mobile number 08037208419

Hi, the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone, now when you first got the sim card you would have been given the PUK code written on the card the sim card was attatched 2, now im taking it you no longer have this.

if you no longer have this then the only place you can get this code from is your service provider, all you need to do is give them a call and give them either the phone number for that sim card or the sim card number which is writted on the back of the sim card. once you give them this they will be able to give you the code for free over the phone.

please dont try guessing the code as this is upto 11 digits long and is totally random

how ever you do have another option open to you, if you dont need to use that sim card you can go out and get another new sim card and this will come with the PUK code should your phone ever ask for it when you put the new sim card in the phone.

the only place that holds the PUK code is either the card the sim card was stuck to when it was new or the only other place is your service provider, give them a call and they will give you this code for free over the phone.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please can you rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Dont know puk code, how to unlock?

Hi, the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone, now when the sim card was new you would have been given the unique PUK code written on the card the sim card was attatched to.
if you no longer have this card then the only other place you can get this code from is your service provider, all you need to do is call them and give them either the phone number of the sim card or give them the number written on the back of the sim card, they will give you this code over the phone for free.
the other option you have open to you is if you dont need to use the sim card thats asking for the PUK code then you can go out and get another sim card and this will come with its own unique PUK code.
please dont try guessing the PUK code as it can be up to 11 digits long and they are totally random so guessing is beyond the question

I dont know what is puk code . i have just set my passward for phone lock and message lock as 2010 now its not opening. Phone is asking for puk code and dialing emergency SOS and call outomaticall ended....

Hi the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not any code to do with the phone, all you need to do to get the PUK code is call your service provider.
your service provider wont charge for giving you the code as the code belongs to you, all you need to tell them is your phone number or if you dont know that then the number printed on the sim card, they will then provide you with the 10digit PUK code for free over the phone.
this will then allow you to access the sim card.

The only place you can get the PUK code from is your service provider as their is no where else that keeps these codes, if you still have the card the sim card was attatched to then it will be written on their but if you no longer have this then the only way your going to get the code is by calling your service provider, they wont charge you for this as the code belongs to you,

you do have another option open to you though, if you dont need that sim card then you can go out and get another sim card and when you get given a new sim card you will get given the unique PUK code it will be written on the card the sim card is attatched to.

let me know if you need further assistance ok.

I dont know the puk code

  • Contact your cellular service provider and have it provide you with a new SIM card. Let it know your account and phone number so that it can transfer your phone service to the new SIM card.
  • Check the manual that came with your phone to see if the SIM card is found in the standard location beneath the battery or if it's located somewhere else.
  • Turn your phone over and remove the back plate by pushing down on the slide panel and sliding it away from you. Remove the plate and then put your finger in between the battery and the side wall. Push the battery away and pull it out of the phone.
  • See if the SIM card has a metal covering. Remove the covering if there is one present and then pull the SIM card out.
  • Place the new SIM card in the card holder and then snap back down the metal covering. Make sure to place the card in the same direction as the old card or your phone will not be able to read it. Put the battery back in and then place the back panel back on. Power on your phone to ensure that the SIM is working properly.
WARNING
  • SIM cards come in different carrying capacities that may not work with all phones. Be sure to check with your provider to find out what size card your phone uses if you plan to purchase a SIM card from a source other than your cellular carrier.
  • Do not enter in any codes if the phone asks for a "PUK" or "SIM lock" code. Contact your cellular provider immediately and request the code because if you enter in an incorrect code, your SIM card will permanently deactivate itself
