I have a samsung UA55F8000 led. It keeps turning on and off.. Please advice if its just the capacitors or does the whole power board needs to be changes

Ofcourse you can do that , keep into consideration the power of your UPS should be higher than that of your led tv and UPS should be sine wave .

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

You have at least one bad LED in the panel and its shutting down the power supply...for future reference a bad Tcon will not cause loss of sound only affects picture

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:

1. TV off
2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
4. Turn on TV
5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
6. If not, try 2 more times.
7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

Hello Peter, my suggestion is unplug your cable satelite (STB) conection.
Turn on the TV and see if there are changes or is still standby.
If your TV like normal after unplug satelite tv (STB) connection, you should check you STB.
If still not working, try to unplug AC cord from power line. Wait until led display indicator off, that plug again. If it still not working, i think you should call samsung technician to check you tv.

Install new Display card and check display, if not giving display it means motherboard have a problem 2) LED not giving power on then problem from monitor a. replace monitor power cable and check display b. monitor logic card have aproblem

I had this on mine too. It is a problem with the power supply. Samsung knows about it.
