Can janome machines stitch names on material

It depends on the machine. Some sewing machines have built-in alphabets that you can program to stitch names, etc. HOWEVER, the size of the letters are restricted because it is limited to the width of the stitch plate, ie you cannot enlarge the size of the characters. To have greater ability for stitching names, an embroidery machine is what you would probably want. But, if this is a one-time project, try talking to some of the local sewing machine dealers and find out if someone on staff will stitch it for you for a small price (much cheaper than buying a machine!). They would probably be glad to do it for you if they think they may sell you a new machine!

How do i enlarge the font size for embroidery

If this is the built in font on the sewing machine, they are pretty standard size. To make large fonts usually takes an embroidery machine and pre-digitized fonts or software with fonts or the ability to create fonts in the sizes you are looking for.
You can with practice learn to create your own lettering using a satin or very small zig zag stitch which is the original way monograms were created.

How do i enlarge letters & numbers on my Janome 5900 memory craft please

I assume you are referring to the build in letters.
You can't. The L/S key changes the size from its full size to about 2/3 of the full size. That is the extent of their size change. Since these letters are not being formed using the movement of a hoop they can only be big enough to fit in the space allowed by the F foot.

How do I make a "space" in between the lettering. How do I enlarge to do stippling.

with the lettering mode, there should be a code number you program in for each letter, number and for a space as well.

Stippling is usually done by free motion stitching with a special foot so its not actually a stitch pattern, just a straight stitch that you form into the stippled pattern by moving the item as it is stitched.

It's making lots of noise and the stitching is very loose and cut

How about doing a thorough cleaning, I mean also taking off the throat plate, and cleaning that out. It is amazing to see lint that looks like felt in that area, I was shocked that I had it. I thought that only happened when you sewed alot of fleece. Hummm. Now, lubricate and insert a new needle. See if putting your machine on a bath towel makes it quieter. If, you need a copy of your manual go to www.singerco.com to customer support and download a free one. They also have a free oiling guide listed to download, save both to your computer and then you don't have to worry about where did I put that darn book. You can also enlarge the diagrams, yeah!!!! Happy New Year.

Designer SE - My lettering looks terrible - jagged and twisted.

This may be your stabilizer. What kind are you using?
A good, solid foundation is important. If the fabric is allowed to stretch or move your embroidery will always be poor. Sweatshirts require considerable stabilization because they are very stretchy.
If the sweatshirt is a high loft fleece you may also want a stabilizer on the top of your fabric.
Try stitching the same letters on a piece of cotton fabric with a heavy tear away or cut away stabilizer. If it looks okay on that, it will look okay on the sweatshirt once it is stabilized.
