Have a TCL L55F3300FS. Customer had moved TV with cable connected and sheared off the RF tuner. Replaced the tuner and now TV does not turn on at all.
Just wondering if there are further issues in the main board and should I replace it. Checked fuse and power in on power board. Just get no standby light and no power on at all Appreciate all your help.

RF MODULATOR HOOKUP For a TV with only a RF input jack, a RF Modulator can be used to hookup DVD players, DVD recorders and other devices which output RCA composite video and audio. For example, analog cable TV can be connected using a RG-6 type coaxial cable to a VCR or older DVD recorder's analog cable ready tuner RF input. Then as shown above, the output can be connected to the TV thru the RF modulator. The modulator outputs on channel 3 or 4 for the older TV so the TV is set to channel 3 or 4. Some RF modulators are built-in to Audio/Video switch boxes. These allow multiple RCA inputs along with RF input.

You will have to purchase cable that was once used to connect an older VCR to the TV. This cable connector will go into the RF connection of the TV to the RF connection on the cable box. If the RF connector you are looking for in the back of the TV is gone...you will have to find a TV tech to attach a new RF connection to the tuner of this TV. Hope this will help with a solution!
Yes, you have a bad ground on your RF connector. With lots of patience, it can be repaired. You must remove the tuner shields from the TV. It will need to be unsoldered. Pull the shields off either side of the tuner. Donot even attempt to move the red coils you see in the tuner. If the red coils look bent or smashed it is for good reason. Do not bend or move these. I cannot say enough about these. Next you will solder the Rf connector and the tail that is is still connected to the tuner board. Inspect all the solder connections on the solder side of this tuner on board.There are about twenty bad grounds. You will have to really concentrate and excercise great caution to solder. Be careful not to burn any traces on the tuner board. Patience is a virtue here, any mistake may destroy your TV. After careful inspection and soldering you may resolder the tuner shields. If you feel you must replace the Rf connector that part is an RCA #215543. Remember it will take more than replacing this connector, to fix the snow you receive on the TV. Sometimes you can replace the rf connector by resoldering it with a replacement rf. You will have to remove the tuner to do this. The big question is did you crack the tuner board or the board the tuner is connected to. You will really have to examine these. In most of my cases a successful replacement rf connector will fix.
Hook the cable up to the VCR or if you don't buy a RF converter from radio shack or electronics store which will have a coax connector on it with component and Svideo to send to the TV. Select the connection (Component or Svideo) in the TV menu. If you only have the coax connector on the back of the TV without any other connection, you will need to get that tuner board replaced.
satellite box send out siginal in the same frequency, so the tv tuner doesnt have to work on it, but all siginal coming to the Tv goes through the turner.

OK the tuner may be causing these problems, however first I would like you to go to your menu and set the RF pickup to antenna (This will allow analog channels) then come out of the memu and select a channel in the analog range channel 4, 7, or 9 try to tune in these channels. If this fails then you may have tuner problems the only way to be sure is to use a RF signal generator to send RF through the tuner and see if the video and audio being carried on that signal comes through. Sometimes the Internet connect gets messed up when the TV does not have the proper RF filters this may be your case. Try this use a Cable tv set top box and just set your TV to channel 3 for cable. This should Isolate the TV from the Internet cable modem and provide the signal needed by the TV.
