XLR Style Charging Cable for wheel chairs scooters and electric bicycles
be careful over what charger you use as Li-ion batteries must not be overcharged. most have a sensor that detects the voltage and stops charging when the battery is fully charged. This circuitry is inside the charger, not the pin.

My Invacare 24 volt battery charger has output 1.4 volts, what is the problem? and how can i fix it please? thanks.

If it only has an output voltage of 1.4 volts, it sounds like it has failed internally. Take it to an Invacare service centre or retailer and ask them to check it. My guess is that it need replacing. Here is the manual for it, and it states, 24 volts at 8 amps or 10 amps depending on country of issue. It charges 12 x 2 volt lead acid cells at the same time, cleverly making sure you can't use a standard 12 volt car charger.

Seems like no power is coming form the battery. Even after much charging

You may have a battery with a dead cell which is keeping your chair from charging right.

If you have a load tester on hand ,load test both battery's they should show the same
if they dont show the same this tells you the one that fell to a lower reading is your dead cell battery make sure when you do change out the battery's you change both.

Good luck hope I was helpful

Jazzy Select 6 Indoor Power Wheelchair: how to charge...

The Jazzy Select 6 requires an off-board charger. Plug the charger into a grounded outlet; preferably one that doesn't have other large loads on the circuit like refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc. The male 3-prong XLR connector coming off the other end of the charger plugs into a female XLR connector which is on the joystick control's bottom-rear. Charge it overnight after each days use, and at least once each month overnight. You should get 2-4 hours of use from the chair at top speed with a 200 pound driver, depending on terrain and climate. If it isn't holding a charge, you will probably need two new U-1 type gel sealed batteries that run about $120.00 or so each. Make sure you test the old batteries first at a knowledgeable battery shop. These are deep cycle batteries and require a special testing. If the batteries are good, then your charger isn't charging. Search EBay or other online sites for a wheelchair charger in the 4-6 amp range. They can be found for about $45.00 or so. Pride will charge you a lot more.

I need the pinout of the jazzy 1103 ultra battery

Hello,
The Output voltage 24 - 29v ,Usually 27v. (And 4 Amps)
The Pin arrangement is Negative to the Left, Inhibit in the Middle, And Positive to the Right Assuming your looking into the plug itself from the front.
Always check with a Voltmeter first though because there are some chargers with the Opposite Pin Arrangement.

If your Power Wheel Chair has been sitting idle for a while, the batts may need to be completely replaced. There is a gel inside the batts that need to have a current run through them via the charger on a regualr basis otherwise it will solidify. If the charger lights are onm you have connected the charger correctly for over 24 hours and the batteries are still not showing they have been charge, there may be damaged cells which means both batteries need to be totally replaced.

The internal battery charger has stopped working

You don't have to buy a new charger from C.T.M. and pay the high mark-up price. Any powerchair charger with a three-pin XLR connector will charge your chair. The is a femal XLR connection located on your joystick pointing out the front. Plug the charger in here.

Ebay has a lot of 24 volt charger for sale for about $25-$50 dollars instead of paying CTM $150.00. Search for 24 volt xlr charger. The end of the charger that plugs into your chair should look like this picture. Make sure it does before ordering. plgxlr.gif
