My kindle fire does not charge.

If you are truing to charge with a USB post then switch to a wall wart. There is often not enough voltage to charge from USB.

KINDLE WON'T CHARGE

Are you sure your charger is working? Try charging another device with it, or try using a different charger. If you're sure the charger is OK (and plugged in!), try leaving the charger plugged in to your Kindle for a good long while, like 12 hours. If it still doesn't charge, or if the charge wears down after a short time, you might well have a bad battery. Unfortunately, later-model Kindles don't have user-replaceable batteries, and having it done professionally is not cheap. If it's still under warranty, make sure to have it fixed before the warranty expires.

Why will my Kindle Fire not charge

This could be any number of issues; are you charging this on a car charger or wall charger? Have you checked to make sure your charge port isn't damaged? Does it connect correctly via USB to a computer? Have you tried the charger on different outlets? Has the Kindle Fire been dropped or damaged in anyway?

My kindle won t turn on

Her is a possible solution:
1. Plug into the original charger, hold the power down for a full 30 seconds, release. Let charge in this state for 12 hours.
2. Lease the device plugged into the charger, while you have the device plugged into power, press the power button for a full 40 seconds, release. Wait for 5 seconds and then press and release the power button. Did the device wake up? No, continue to step 3.
3. Plug the device into another charger, if you do not have an charger from another phone go to Staples or Radio Shack pick up a new Kindle or Universal charger, make sure you can return the charger.
4. Plug the Kindle into the new or alternate charger. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds release. Let charge for 12 full hours.
5. Unplug the Kindle from the charger.
6. Press the power button for 40 seconds - time it. Release the power button, wait for 5 seconds, then press and release the power button. The Kindle should wake up. If not, proceed to step 7.
7. If you can not wake up the Kindle from a 'hard reset' the Contact Amazon directly for a replacement.

Kindle fire won't charge

You may need a new power cord or it is possible that your Kindle Fire's battery has died. If you noticed the battery life diminishing before it wouldn't charge this may be the case. Here is a site that has replacement batteries for the Kindle Fire:

You can try these steps to solve this problem:

2. Verify the charge light at the base of the Kindle is on.
3. Restart Kindle by pressing Home > Menu > Settings > Menu and select "Restart."

Kindle will not charge from out let or computer

Please clarify: what charger did you use to connect to an outlet? The Kindle 3 comes with an USB cable to charge from a PC or Mac computer and no charger outside for many countries outside the US (for other countries an external charger is available from Amazon as optional accessory). Use of a different charger (e.g. mobile phone charger with USB connector) is not supported, not recommended and may fry your Kindle if a wrong voltage is hooked to it.

Things you can try:
  1. Use a different outlet to charge the Kindle.
  2. If you use the supplied USB cable to connect to a PC, make sure its firmly seated on both ends. Connect to a powered USB port directly on your computer. Some external USB hubs do not come with a separate power supply (external power supply is mandatory for an USB 2.0 hub, some cheap models are sold without one anyway) and are not suited to charge anything. Just to make sure, disconnect any other USB device except mouse / keyboard to check if the USB port in use is not burdened by too much drain.
  3. The Kindle power LED should glow amber while charging and green if the device is fully charged.
  4. Give the Kindle a reset pressing Home --> Menu --> Settings --> Menu and select "Restart." If the charge light is on but the device is still not charging, contact Amazon customer service.
  5. If the charge light does not light, the AC adapter or cable needs to be replaced.
  6. Contact Amazon customer support for any warranty issues.
