I had a similar problem with a different make dvd duplicator and it is the placement of the disks that makes the difference, are the plastic guides that hold the stack of dvd's bent, try pushing the dvds to one side or another, there is always a mil of space.

SOURCE: CD loading arm works sporadically

Hi guys,

We had exactly the same thing (for years!), in our case causing pick failures about once every twenty disks.

The total and complete solution seems to be to upgrade your 2000i to the very latest firmware. I've just completed 500 disks with just one pick failure. Plus, as a very surprising bonus, the machine seems to work considerably faster overall.

MAN, the grief it would've saved us if Rimage had fixed this sooner...

HOW DO YOU TIME THE MOTOR ON 2002 FORD V-6 MUSTANG

well it is true that timing effects engine temperature, but im not sure what would just happen !! to make for your timing to change unless you moved the distributor , then it would make sence , anyways if you have a timing light , clamp pick up on #1 cylinder (most forward of all cylinders) plug wire , locate front vibration dampener , pointer most time is on passenger side , see is any marks can be seen on dampener , might require some degreasing to see them (409 works great) locate pickup harness leading to distributor , it has five small wires in it , follow down till you see a black plug (yellow wire) , looks funny sort of does a loop in it , start engine , pull plug from loop , point light at dampener see what timing is , what it should be is on emmision sticker on front core support , return plug to loop lookig thing when done

Rock o la jukebox wont pick up record to play

I actually have the answer to your problem, there are 3 things, if you make a selection and it goes to it but wont grab it, that means the gripper motor is bad.

If your carousel keeps spinning I think its like the wurlitzers, your index light or orbital reader bulb is bad, 2 names but same bulb, depends on who your talking too,

and the last thing it might be is yes your safety switch, happens when someone grabs the arm it can be moved and then your dead in the water, the cd models also have an on & off swtich so check that too. Hope it helps

Bad disc message

Some times dust can collect on the laser lens of the pick-up assembly and cause this. If you can get to the lens, which is under the disc tray where the disc gets clamped and starts to spin, it can be cleaned with a q-tip and alcohol. Just be gentle with it. If this doesnt help the pick-up assembly will have to be replaced.

Record return arm doesn't go low enough to pick up record

Lubrication issue. Use some light oil (NOT 3 in 1 household - it has paraffin and will eventually clog up the parts) on all of the arms moving parts.
Be sure to get in between the gears and the moving cylinders that clamp the record.
This should resolve it. Rock Olas are known for this issue. The original grease dries up, and people neglect to lubricate their jukeboxes, even though, like a car, they are machines that require it from time to time.

Wurlitzer arm keeps running

check the white plastic actuator next to the gear box, it is probably broken and not actuating the microswitch underneath it, these often fail, it may look ok,, but it actually is loose and the set screw on top of it is not clamping it to the rod.
