How do I fix my Samsung LCD TV?

My tv will not turn on stand by light blinks 5 times and repeats. When I disconnect evolution kit standby light does not blink, it goes off and power light bottom center comes on. I read a blog where the guy had a different model but same problem and his turned out to be main board. Please help.

It rather seems to depend on the model. I have seen Two videos on YouTube, one says it could be the LED back lighter, with a burned or shorted out LED(s). In the other it says it is the power supply board. But both were different Samsung TV's. The LED one if that looks tricky to do. If it is the power board, which I think it could be, you should be able to get the full board fairly cheap. Just be careful with the voltages when removing it, if you intend to do it yourself.

These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes.From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV.This will make repair easy. Please make sure lamp cover is fixed properly as it was removed to replace/ check lamp in tv.
If lamp cover is not fixed, tv will not turn On and red light will blink 3 times.

Hi, 5 times blink of standby light shows that TV needs White Balance adjustment. No need to dump it, adjustment is also not so difficult. Let me know if you want to give it a try to guide you.

Please reply couple of questions about TV to guess what could be wrong.

1- How many times standby light blinks, there would be interval of 3 seconds in blinks so count pause to pause.

2- Please intimate exact model of TV, written on sticker pasted at back of TV. That will help me to check its schematics.

Tv tunrns on then goes to stand by flashes 4 times & repeats

turn tv on picture comes up 2to3 seconds later tv blacks out then stand by red light flashes 4 times in a row repeatedly..can not turn on or off when stand by light starts flashing but before tv blacks out you can turn tv on and off repeatedly and picture and sound work.You have to unplug power cord for 30 seconds after stand by light comes on to get tv to turn on.

Timer/Standby light blinks but no picture or sound when power button is pressed.

I'm having the same problem. My stand-by light blinks 3 times though. The tv clicks as if it is going to turn on, but it never does. Is there a simple solution to this problem?
