My DVD Slideshow will only play on my PC. - Computers & Internet

Many computers can play many file formats,
BUT...
Not all DVD players can play all files.
What file format is the slide show saved as?
AVI?
Download a freeware conversion program (if you don't have one) and try another format.
My latest DVD player plays about six video formats, JPG images, but battles with AVI, due to it's many variations of format (dimensions, resolution, color, frame-rate, interleaving, etc).

You didn't specify what OS you are using.
If it's OSX then it's easy using iTunes & iPhoto to select a group of photos and background music.
My slide show on my MacBook gets transferred to the Apple TV automatically and shows up on my Plasma 50" Screen.

You need a blank CD or DVD to burn any time onto disc. Just depends on size of data. 700MB for CD and 4.7 GB on DVD. The WR is for rewritable disks.

The file is not compatible with the software in other machines.

first, import your camera photos and video to computer
second, use a dvd slideshow software to combine videos and photos to slideshow and burn to dvd
finally play your camera photos and video on TV. You will experience more with good DVD authoring software.

This depends on the software you have installed on your computer. Also, depends on the type of slideshow you made

Have you tried burning it to a CD-R instead of a DVD-R?

use nero 7 program u have just aint great used it dont ever do what u wann does it so use nero 7 8 ok so easy slide shows perfect quilty on dvd music dvd menu fr videos and slide shows cool icons back ground wallpapers best
