There is a busy signal all the time and we can't send faxes.
1st self test was good. 2nd test run was blurry. But I haven't gotten a ink level notice. Ink level is 2 of 8.

Hi Janet
Try using a standard phone to call your Fax Line
Connect a phone to this Line to test for voice
Disconnect Fax Machine from Phone Line
Reset Fax machine
The Fax machine is supposed to respond to the right tones being sent down the voice line
If it is not responding & all else works then check your Fax settings for "Receiving"
Check the lines and check the connection, usually it's a problem from your side, There is a nice troubleshooter in the manual so check it out: Brother Intellifax 1270e manual
Hi,
You need to reset the memory, since previously you have dialed some number, which is not able to connect. So restart the printer. Unplug the printer for 10 minutes and plug back the power to the printer.
1st. short click onceon power boton. 2nd. ask a friend/client to send you a FAX. 3rd. if it still dose not work you need to get in to the FAX`s menu and check if it is in the correct settings: DIAL TONE or PULS. 4th. repet 2nd. step.
Good Day Sir, I have a solution to your problem, hope this will help you.
"HP 4315 officejet fax failed" solution:
Turn off the machine by using the ON button and then unplug the power cord from the back of the machine. After a few seconds, plug the power cord back in and turn the power on.
Try to send or receive a test fax.
If you are running the test from the Fax Setup Wizard (windows) or Fax Setup Utility(Mac), Make sure the Machine is not busy completing another task, such as receiving a fax or making a copy. Check the display for a message indicating that the machine is busy.If it is busy, wait until it is finished and in the idle state.
Make sure you use the phone cord that came with the machine. If you do not use the supplied phone cord to connect from the telephone wall jack to the HP All-in-One, YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO SEND OR RECEIVE faxes. then after you plug run the test again.
If you are using a PHONE SPLITTER, this can cause faxing problems. connect the machine directly to the telephone wall jack.
run the test again to make sure it passes and the machine is ready for faxing.
1-you must confirm that your phone line is clean and stable-and this is easy by test the phone line with another good fax if the problem exist.sure your phone line is bad and you connect with the phone company to get help.if the problem goen your fax is guilty.first try to opposite the phone wire from the outlet and change the phone connection with new one.if all above does not work you must send it to nearest workshop.
