Hi, you can put the chuck in a tin/cup of oil, use penetrating, deisel, or as light as possable, also warming it up, keep trying weekly, or monthly, keep forwarding/reversing offten.
I have saved two, one was in a bucket of water for ages, its a "good one" now.

Makita hp1621 chuck jaws rusted shut, how to replace?

Keyless chucks can be really difficult when rusted or jammed and in my experience its not often that patience is rewarded - too often the application of a deal of brute force and ignorance must be resorted to.

A customer had a power drill with a keyless chuck that jammed and I tried the usual - lashings of penetrating oil, judicious tapping with a light hammer and the application of plenty of force with a couple of strap wrenches but nothing worked so in desperation I clamped the chuck tightly in a vice and with the drill in reverse pulled the trigger.
No one was more surprised than me when the chuck came free. It also worked the next time it jammed.

It didn't work with a different drill - I kept at that one and basically destroyed the chuck piece by piece before it came free.

Patience and penetrating oil might work but if you want a quick result I think an angle grinder and a cutting disc...

How to unstick the chuck

Hi Gregory,You can use a 6 inch pipe wrench on the top of the chuck and an eight inch on the large part of the chuck.Put a rag in the pipe wrench jaws.Lay the drill on a flat surface with the chuck pointed at you.The handles face the same way, small one on the bottom to lock the chuck and the 8 inch on top so they look like scissors. Depending on which way the chuck is jammed will determine if the handles are on the left or right side.Gloves and safety glasses will make holding the top wrench with a bit of force to lock every thing in place. Now just a tap on the end of the eight inch wrench will loosen the chuck. If the set up is wrong you will only jam the chuck more. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

How to take my chuck off broke tool off inside chuck

The screw that holds the chuck on, is in the bottom of the chuck itself. If there is something jammed in the chuck, it must be removed in another manor. If the chuck is jammed, I have used two pair of channellocks to open the it.
