I have an arfe safe with an electronic lock and a key that overrides it. I forgot the code so I used the key. How do I reset?

Apparently when you got the safe, you also got an emergency key for it as well, just in case you forgot the combination. The key also permits you to reprogram the safe. Where might the key be? --Perhaps with the documentation for the safe or a safety deposit box or gun maintenance materials. It is anybody's guess where you hid the key. You otherwise will have a difficult time opening the safe on your own. Hello, I've locked my safe and I forgot the code, can you help me please?

Most of the time if you contact the manufacture on these types of safes they can help you through a reset or they can send out a key in the mail to you. I had a problem like this with another brand and they were able to send out a replacement. Good luck.

1. The original factory code is 1-5-9 A (or B) to open the safe. There is usually an override key for your safe in case you have lost your code.
2. Once the unit is open, you can reset the combination by pressing the red button, the yellow light will come on. Input a new code 3-8 numbers and then either the A or B button to finish the code.
3. Test your new code several times before locking.
4. If you don't have an over ride key, the first three digits of the serial number should be the key code.

You will probably have to call a locksmith who specializes in digital safes, or you can contact hardline and give them the serial no. of the save and proof of purchase to get the code or key. You will probably need proof of purchase for the locksmith to.

a. Inside the open door you would find hidden a red button press this button, the yellow light will be on, input the user code in 30 seconds try 1,5,9 then press A or B to finish

b. If the yellow light keeps flashing with beeps the code is wrong( revere to user manual)

c. To change code repeat step a.
