Radio Shack police scanner Pro 20 106 can it be program the new frequencies that the Iowa big cities as now a new program that block anyone to hear Iowa police fire shief emgencies etc?

press the "prog" key followed by the "Trunk" key then the number "1" key.
Press the "down arrow" key until you see the initials Ed on the screen
Press the "E" key.
Enter the frequencies (including the decimals)
you must press the E key and the Prog key after each frequency, after you finish entering your frequencies, press the scan key.
If you need to clear your scanner, turn it off, press and hold down the number 2 and number 9 keys, while holding them down turn the scanner back on, "clear" should start flashing on the screen, once "clear" stops flashing you can enter the frequencies.

is it a digital scanner? You know that everyone has gone digital there fore making that kind of scanner outdated and if you are trying to listen to police u wont pick anything up. I was told that some raido shacks will re program it for you.
