Sharp copier Mx 5000N is doing continuous toner replenishment I changed toner cartridge drum developer still replenishment what do I do

Hi,
If the machine is still trying to add toner after the toner cartridge has been replaced & the developer is new then I would look at the toner supply motor for that particular colour. Also check for a blockage within the small tube between the toner cartridge & the developer unit. You could try swapping the toner supply motor with one of the other colour motors as they are all identical. If the fault switches to another colour then the motor is at fault.
You can also check the operation of the toner motor in simulation 10.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

I have an Epson XP-202 printer which I use solely as a black and white copier. Accidentally I pressed the colour button for a copy which ( as the original colour cartridges are still in the machine) has...

Not sure about Epson but I had the same problem and the store where I buy my ink said that a lot of the printer companies require all the color cartridges with ink in them to work. My color use to disappear even if I just pushed black and they said that was the way they were made . They sell printers quite cheap but make their money on the ink. I got rid of mine and purchased a black only ink jet and it hardly uses any ink at all. Its a powder. You can copy many copies on eighty dollars worth of ink where the cartridges I went through several hundred dollars a year.

Difference between ''Auot Color'' and ''Full Color Mode

Most Colour machines have three settings.

Auto Colour, Machine will determine if the original is Colour or Black and White from its scan. Then print in the format that best suits the original.

Full Colour, Machine will copy in full Colour regardless of Original type.

Black and White, Machine will copy or scan in B & W regardless of original type.

Hope this is of some help.

Dull colors on 8550 phaser printer

Hi,

Looks like you don't use the Magenta ink that much, on this machine because it is so hot all the time after a while the magenta can get a strange brown colour and the cyan can get like a aqua marine colour. All you can do is purge the magenta by printing magenta sample pages or just wait until it goes away.

Also you could try the following Tek Colour correction (but It probably won't work). See below

TekColor
Description
Automatic Applies the best color correction to each graphic element: text, artwork, and photographs Office Color sRGB Display: Approximates the colors on a computer display.
sRGB Vivid: Produces brighter, more saturated colors than sRGB Display. Press Match SWOP Press: Matches specifications for Web Offset Publications.
Euroscale: Matches Fogra glossy paper specification.
Commercial: Approximates U.S. commercial press target.
SNAP Press: Matches specifications for Newsprint Advertising Production. None Applies no color correction. Use with other color management tools, such as International Color Consortium (ICC) profiles, ColorSync, or the PANTONE Color Chart for the printer. Black & White Converts all colors to shades of gray

From the workstation, select the color correction in a supported driver.
Microsoft Windows 98 SE / ME / 2000 / XP/ Server 2003 / NT 4.x Operating Systems (OS):

NOTE: Some of the color corrections are grouped under Office Color or Press Match.
  1. Within an application, click [File] from the toolbar, and then select [Print] from the menu. The Print window will be displayed.
  2. Click on the [Properties] button located on the top, right of the window. The Properties window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [TekColor] tab.
  4. Select the required color correction.
