To remove a book or magazine from your Kindle Fire HD libraries, follow these steps:

Hook your kindle fire to your computer. When the auto play window appears click on "view files". When your kindle hard drive files appear then look for the books file on your kindle. Click on the books folder then copy and paste them on your desktop then unplug your kindle. Plug your wife's kindle in then do the same to open her books folder then copy and paste the books from your desktop into her book folder.

Have you tried a reset? It clears up many problems that just happens for no reason. To delete books from your device, go to Amazon an use thier Manage my Kindle it removes them completely.

On the Kindle home page, tap and hold the book until a menu pops up, then select "Delete."

Kindle is a E-book reader because i may not let you to install any App in it you just can read your E-books clearly and sharply

Sign in to the kindle fire hd with your account and it should sync all your content. You may need to factory reset the fire hd if it already is setup with a different account
