Mine says msa-4a. the duo sticks won't work. You will the larger older memory sticks

You only use the internal memory (24MB). Internal memory only records 41sec. Please check the settings. If HD records are recorded to internal memory.

take the tape out of the camera. you don't need to put a tape in the camera if you are not recording in the camera.

Attaching Sound Memos to images In replay mode (including single replay, index replay and magnifying replay) you can attach sound memos (up to 60 seconds) to an image. The sound data is saved in WAVE format. 1. Select [ (Sound Memo)] in the [ (Replay)] menu.

this is caused by the guides being out of alignment, needs to be serviced.

it probably is the ccd imager. call sony and tell them about the problem. since they had a recall for this issue the may fix it for free.

my advise is that you need to take that set to qualified techn for repairs.
