Why isn't anything appearing in the control panel display of my HP Laserjet p2055dn?

I don't see an x shift or y shift option on the P2055dn Control Panel. See Chapter 2 of the User Manual, http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01461642 , to see the lists of the control panel menus and options. I have an HP LaserJet P2055dn and I am getting a 10.000 supply memory error. I've checked HP's website and I am not finding anything related to this problem for my printer. What do I need to do?

I believe that the P2055 has an imbedded jetdirect.
You would have to change the formatter.
That could run into some money.
Is it still under warranty? Let HP do it.

For the LJ4000 to change the control panel language:

Turn off the printer.

On the front panel, hold down the SELECT key.

Turn the printer on, while continuing to hold the SELECT key.

When the Select Language message is displayed release the SELECT key.

Initializing will display on the control panel. After 5-7 seconds Language=English will display.

Press the VALUE key until the desired language is displayed.

Press the SELECT key and an asterisk will appear. The asterisk indicates that the printer has saved the new setting.

Press the GO key to display Ready in the language that was selected.


NOTE: If Select Language does not appear in the display, hold down the SELECT button until you hear the motors rotate, then release. Following printer initialization, the Language= menu will appear in the display.

go to menu button on the front panel of printer. then go to network setting . assigne there static ip with subnet mask and default gateway of you network.

That is a job by it self. If you don't want to damage your printer, I'd suggest you take it to an HP dealer pay some money and get it first checked and if so be the case that it has to change, let them change it.
