Replaced wd-62525 lamp, picture dim

I just replaced the lamp on my wd-62525 and the picture is still dim. Will cleaning the mirrors help resolve the dimness? or what will help resolve the dimness?

Cleaning the mirrors will not increase the brightness much. I would double check the lamp setting in the Menu and also the setting of the picture and brightness settings. Many times these are adjustable independently for different inputs. Besides this, I would look at the Ballast and or the Power Supply to cause the problem. I would recommend a professional to look at it if it is not correctable from the Main Menu of the set.
Hope this helps,

Mitsubishi 62525 static on screen more noticeable with dark background cleaned filter and replace lamp

A few of these (not sure if this model) have two mirrors inside--stupid idea and only a few had that--.

If this is the case here--little mirror (I mean LITTLE) is at bottom pointing up from the optical lens--gets dust and such from the fans= picture gets darker to the point where brightness is very diminished.

Mitsubishi can tell you if it has two mirrors (the large one in rear of set must not be touched and never needs cleaning as any finger prints etc will show in the picture.

If two mirrors I can tell you what to do--15 minute two person job.

My picture isnt clear. whats the best color setup?

The best way to clear the picture on these sets is to remove the screen and clean the mirrors. If it is still not clear after that it may be a bad lamp or failing capacitors in the chassis. They cause wavy lines and makes the picture blurry.

WD-62525, continous amber lamp light. No picture. Lamp is good.

Hello:

Make sure u replace the lamp cover as the safety switch need to be closed to make the set work. If new lamp did not repair your problem , then it may well be the Ballast Board, Sometimes call the Lamp Driver.

Best settings for moderate to low light viewing?

Using your remote, click the "video" button (mid area, Right hand side) and adjust the brightness, contrast, etc., to your liking. Only you know what you like. If your picture can be "plenty bright enough"...then just make the necessary adjusts to whatever looks best to you. If your picture is "very dim" no matter what the video settings are, you need a complete cleaning of all lens, mirrors, and screen...and possibly a new lamp.

How can I clean the mirrors on this tv?

to clean the mirrors you must remove the screen first there are several screws in the back to remove the screen. then there is a mirror shaped like a polligon clean this with a dry cloth do not use a paper towel. soft colth must be used on any optical surface. then clean the optical engine lens in the same manner. them the large mirror in the back. remeber if you leave a defect on any of these surfaces it will be amplified by the screen. this system relies on a lamp to provide bright picture so replace that as well. this should be a part of your anual cleaning agreement of the after market warranty you purchased assuming you bought one. dim picture = lamp, fuzzy, dim, dull picture = dust

Mitsubishi WD-62525 DLP has no picture

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:

12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
