Frigidaire 24 in. FDB126RB Built-in Dishwasher FDB126EBS2 My dishwasher has an intermittent problem. Sometimes it will start normally, run for a short period, then it will stop. I will have to go through this cycle several times before a regular cycle will run. I've inspected the float valve okay & clicks; used multimeter and checked for continuity, also appears to be fine; also checked the inlet valve for continuity; everything seems to be fine I'm wondering if there is some issue with the controller failing? Is there a diagnostic mode on this device I can get any sorta error codes? Does anyone know of any control failure bulletins on this device? Thanks for all your help.
Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided you would like to place your Frigidaire dishwasher into a diagnostic mode. I have reviewed the dishwasher and do not show a diagnostic mode available. Based off the information you have provided you may be experiencing an issue with your timer or knob. I would suggest performing a factory reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by flipping the breaker off for at least ten minutes. Since it could be an issue with either electrical components you may need to seek guidance from a professional technician. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

petroleum jelly rubbed on the nylon cord and all parts that it touches...it does the trick
SOURCE: Can't find the model number on Frigidaire dishwasher
The nomenclature should be located on the left side on the inside of the tub right by the front when you open the door. It is most likely an fdb series example fdb1050. however the drain hose pn 154606701 is the factory replacement for most frigidaire dishwashers ten years or less.

The steam has gotten into the keypad display and fried it. Call Fridgidaire and let them know you've seen numerous people on the internet with the same problem and that you need part# 154554401 It worked for me.

This model doesn't have a diagnostic mode according to the Tech sheet, but I would first mention that these can wait up to 90 seconds before beginning a cycle... Run the kitchen tap until the water is as hot as it will get, then start your dishwasher, this will ensure the unit fills with hot enough water immediately, instead of filling with cold and trying to heat it with the heating element. This may fix your problem, but it will shorten the cycle time on almost ANY dishwasher. You can also check the control board for signs of a failing/bad solder joint which can cause odd intermittent symptoms.
Hi, thank you for everyones response. It turns out the dishwasher was actually functioning correctly. It appears the anti flood is broken under the sink; on/off valve attached to the PCX plastic hose. Once this was replaced, the water was able to fill the dishwasher correctly.
