Sounds like a great story... (I doubt it... though)

I'm thinking TROUBLE CODE.

You should check it out in the owners manual...
(It sounds to me like SOMETHING is LOCKED or BROKEN.

Personally
I would hit the "clear" and attempt to reset the time...

Failing that...
then I would remove the power & then again try to reset the time.

If you add the make & model you can get much better detail:

or simply LOOK ON THIS site

I have a Dacor ERD48SCH/NG oven/range. Accidentally changed the clock time to military (24-hour) time, and now can't figure out how to change it back. How do I change back to regular 12-hr time?

Step 1 Locate the "Clock" button on the display. The display is located above the oven door. It clearly shows the time and has settings for temperature, time and cooking.
Step 2 Press and hold the "Clock" button until the time starts to blink.
Step 3 Set the time with the number pad. Ignore the colons and enter the number straight through. For example, if the current time is 10:08, just type 1-0-0-8.
Step 4 Set AM and PM by pressing the "#" button. Press "Start" to finish.

Ho to set Clock on GE Mod JRS068 J1BB

On GE ovens there should be a CLOCK button to press first. Then if the control has number pads 1 to 0 you enter the correct time and press clock or start again to finish. If it has no 1 to 0 pads there should be 2 arrow type buttons with + on one and - on the other. Press clock and then use + to go up or - to go down. Holding either button in will make it change fast. When you get close to correct time hit button slowly to finish. Hit clock button when time is correct.

Built-in oven-- clock unresponsive

You do not need the clock I removed it and wired the oven direct. The wires are easy to get at when the front panel is removed. If you look at the manuals on line they will guide you with the correct wires to use

My Blanco oven will not work. Display shows 0:00 'auto' flashing. Cooktop works fine. I have checked the manual but it was of no help. Model number is BF95W. Tried turning off/on at power. This did...

Hi You need to set your clock If it is a digital timer you usually have to press 2 of the buttons on the bottom and once you see a change in the clock (usually it stops flashing) press the up or down button to set the time once the time is set you may need to push the manual button sometimes this button is identified by a hand regards Geoff Stove Recyclers WA

Can not set clock

For the NW09DO, press the outer two buttons ("-" and "+") together and hold for three or four seconds. Then press "+" to advance the clock/time and "-" to go back.

When the correct time is showing, leave the buttons alone for four or five seconds.
