We have a frigidaire model atf7000es, it just started when the cycle starts it goes to perm press no matter what starts at 48 goes to 32 stops than goes to 38 starts back to 32 and repeats its self

As for unplugging it, I had an issue with mine not spinning on the Perm Press cycle. I tried unplugging it for an hour and plugging it in again to no avail. Just gave up on the Perm Press cycle. A few months later I unplugged it for a week while I was on vacation and low and behold, it started to spin on the Perm Press cycle! I'm not sure how long it would have needed to be unplugged, but you may want to try for a couple of days. But, in the mean time....

Try running the diagnosis and looking for an error code.
To recall an error code,
• Wake the machine by pressing any button
• Wait 5 seconds
• Press and hold the Start and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously
• All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LEDs. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the Start and Pause Cancel buttons are pressed. A two-second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify the correct error codes.

Often this happens because the washer door is not securely latch or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If the issue persists, try reprogramming the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If issue persists, then more than likely the unit has a faulty door latch, a communication error with the control board, or a potential wiring failure. Hello Mary Fortner - It means that the washer has been paused; the cycle has been interrupted. Either the "Pause/Cancel" button or "Start/Pause" button has been pressed. To resume wash - press "Pause/Cancel" or "Start/Pause" once. If this does not prove to be successful please turn the breaker to the unit off for 5 minutes. Then turn the breaker back on to the unit, and retry the cycle setting again.

Possible that the inlet valve is faulty. please measure the voltage on the inlet when the washer is switched on , if there is no voltage then the controller is faulty. If voltage is present then the inlet valve has failed.

some machine will stop before spin its called crease guard if you are useing a low temp cycle its there to give you the option to stop your cloths wrinkling try another cycle

its most likely a faulty button, press start once again and it should start the cycle. usually the start and pause buttons are the same ones.

Hi. this is a failed timer device. simply replacing the timer control module will eliminate these issues you are having.
