On startup,remote sensor (TX29U) shows 302 than 00 than dashes -- and ---

Did you put batteries in both units and in the right order, sensor first?

Step 1: Insert 2 fresh AA, batteries into the TX29U-IT sensor according to the polarity marked in the battery compartment.

Step 2: Insert 2 fresh AAA, Alkaline batteries into the wireless thermometer according to the polarity markings. Step 3: After 5 minutes place sensor outside in a shaded location.

I believe that would fall under Temp Units during setup.

I would suggest you check the batteries of the remote. If you have replaced them it is possible that the microswitch on the remote might have worn out. Should be a quickfix at a locksmith that has the equipment to test remotes frequency. Good luck

Hello, I want to try to help you on this problem. The Limited models of the product line have extra "Bells and Whistles" added to the normal dash functions. You have a dash display Computer which shows a Menu for the extra features. On this Menu, you can set the "Back-up" alert system to be On or Off.

Sometimes when an Oil Change is done, the Technicians have to Reset the Oil Change counter. They use this Menu and could easily have changed the settings for the Back-up and the Remote control functions. You need to get into the Menu and see if this is the case.

For added measure if the Menu does not help, look under the Drivers' dash at switch on the Brake pedal(gets bumped), the switch for the Transmission selector is more difficult to see. Test to see If the Back-up sensors work in Neutral and not Reverse, the shift cable will need to be adjusted. That's about all you can do yourself.

Sometimes the "Brain" in the door handle will die and you will need a new part. I hope my solution is very helpful to you.

I have what appears to be the same device. My instructions list the following method:
1. turn off or disconnect all the remote monitors.

Use the code button on the display module to set the channel. It displays 1 --:-- for channel 1.

Plug in the first remote sensor into the power outlet and press and hold down the SET button until the LED flashes.

The receiver will show numbers where the dashes were in the display.

Change the channel on the receiver to 2 withb the code button, it displays 2 --:--.

Plug in the second remote sensor, press the set button till the LED flashes.

Repeat for channel 3 with the third remote sensor.

This is the same method used to set them up the first time. Having to turn off or unplug the device is the unintuative bit. I assumed it would reconnect after replacing the batteries.

isn't the the remote tire pressure sensor. one of the 5 tires....spare included have low pressure or defective..

Check the batteries in the main unit. If they get low it will only show dashes for the remote sensors.

This problem could arise due to various reasons
1)Replace the batteries in remote sensors
When the batteries are properly installed, the remote weather sensor will resume sending signals to the main unit.To enforce an immediate remote signals search, press and hold
DOWN on the main unit.

2)Remote thermo-hygrometer sensor could be weak in sending the signal about weather Forecast.Test it properly.

3)Reset the unit and check
