Hi, I have found the information you requested in a pdf format of the user manual. It is on page 128 of the user manual. It is very hard to tell you what button to push as I don't have one of those camera's in front of me. Here is a link for the user manual. Once to get to page 128 you should be able to see how to format your memory card. If you look at the pdf guide it is listed on the left side of the page under "playback menu" From there you can advance to page #128 and go from there. I sure hope this will help you get this fixed. WooHoo, I found what I was after following an extensive search on the web. I tracked down both the Quick Start Guide and User Manual in PDF format so problem solved.
