Sounds like you could have a short in the machine, if it keeps happening you should have the machine checked

Why won't my Euro Pro 9120 not sew when the screen says pressure foot is up, but it is not?

There is a sensor switch when you drop the presser foot it's just inside the mechanical lever that switches bad it's worth our costs about $5

I have a baby lock Esante EXE when sewing a straight stitch, i take my foot off the foot peddle but the machine will continue to sew about 5-8 stitches instead of stopping, any ideas why this happens?

Try to solate the problem to machine or foot control by detaching foot control and use stop/start. If stop after a start exhibits same as foot pedal then likely the problem is machine control board else, foot pedal. Could be foot control is sticking and not completely opening or slow to open.

My Aunt gave her D'lite sewing machine. It sews correctly but will not stop sewing unless you unplug the cord. The start and stop button will start the sewing if not using the foot pedal but it will

There's a possibility that your foot pedal is sticking; if that is the case, it's probably overriding the stop button. See if you can take the cover off and clean it using alcohol, and leaving it open for a couple of hours to make sure it has dried. Visually check the wires while it's open, too, to see if you can see any fraying, and make sure the plug on the machine side is firmly seated in the machine.

I have a Kenmore sewing machine Model 158, 1792280. The foot pedal is not working well; I was sewing normally and when I finished, I removed my foot from the foot pedal but the machine continue sewing. I...

Buy a new foot pedal for it, probably one of the electrical components inside the foot has failed.

There are Kenmore footcontrols for sale on www.sewingpartsonline.com. You could email them to check its right for your model if it isn't listed.

Obviously I'm assuming that you are in USA with 110 Voltage and that is what your machine is. If not and your country is 220V, you would need to source it from a reseller in your own country or another with the same voltage.

Machine wont stop once started.

your foot pedal is just like an accelerator , lifting and pressing the foot increases and decreases the speed ,but if this does not happen ,,change your foot pedal

Foot pedal dead, machine keeps sewing!

There is no suppressor in the foot control of a 425. Only the control unit, which may need to be replaced. If the machine accelerates to full speed, it may have a problem with the "stop right" board which tells the machine whether to stop with the needle up.
You could have several problems, so go see a qualified Husqvarna repairman. You may contact Husqvarna customer service to locate the best one in your area.
