Trying to find model number on my GE universal remote so that I can get codes for my converter box

Locating the model number on a GE universal remote can vary depending on the specific model. Here are some general tips to help you find the model number:
  1. Check the Battery Compartment:
    • Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote.
    • Look for a sticker or label inside the compartment that may contain the model number.
  2. On the Remote's Front or Back:
    • Check the front and back of the remote for any labels or markings that might indicate the model number.
  3. User Manual or Packaging:
    • If you have the user manual or the original packaging, check there. The model number is often mentioned on these documents.
  4. Behind the Battery Cover:
    • Remove the battery cover and inspect the area behind it for any labels or markings that include the model number.
  5. On the Remote's Body:
    • Inspect the body of the remote itself. Some models may have the model number printed on the front or sides.
Once you locate the model number, you can then proceed to find the correct codes for your converter box. The codes are usually included in the remote's manual or can be found on the manufacturer's website. If you are unable to find the model number or the manual, you may need to contact GE customer support for assistance.
If you provide more details about your GE universal remote, I might be able to offer more specific guidance.

Need the location of the power converter on a 2011 cedar creek cottage 40crl,I need to trouble shoot it but I can't locate the unit, searched the inside of the rv & no luck locating it. Plz help!

You can probaly test it at the battery. Test the leads that go to the battery with battery disconected you should read about 13.6 dc volts on a voltmeter , if it is 11 or 14 converter is probaly shot . if it is bad locating it can be a hunt. Sometimes they are built in to the bottom of breaker box and other times especially in fifth wheels it will be a stand alone unit inside of a compartment somewhere. If uncomfortable working on electronics seek help from a professional rv tech. Good luck hope this helps.

Sony vaio pdc-8x2l disassembly

The cover above the keyboard might be secured by screws inside the battery compartment. Just remove all the screws from the bottom of the laptop, but check inside the battery compartment, hard drive compartment, dvd drive compartment, memory compartment and wifi compartment for screws once you remove them or remove the cover.

Have a Vivitar v335 older model camera, think maybe early 80s. It's not digital, and need a battery. Several "experts" have told me a Duracell 28L is what I need but batter is too long. Battery compartment...

I happen to have one also. I bought it in the mid 80s. I still have the original box and instruction manual. It says: "Holding the Battery Compartment COVER in your hand, drop in and stack two LR44 or SR44 batteries so that the plus (+) signs are facing up. Replace the Cover. The positive (+) side of the batteries should face the (+) contact at the bottom of the battery COMPARTMENT. Turn the Cover clockwise with a coin until it stops flush with the bottom plate of the camera. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN".

Lens cover

Well, I just looked at one, it is not easy to get to the front cover. Everything is removed from the back of the camera. The display, both circuit boards and the battery compartment have to be removed first. You may do better locating another camera, eBay is always a good start.
