Know combination, but every time I enter it, why is there an error light?

Changing combinations can be done from the reset button. It exists at the topmost part of the device. To reset - Hold it down for a few seconds until the light indicates green, release and enter your new preferred code. Repeat the procedure until the light goes red and re-enter the new code. The light blinking is an error code--usually it will blink a certain number of times, pause, then blink another sequence(ex. 4 times, then 3 times)in a binary error code. There is a chart in the service manual to decipher the code(s) and locate the issue. It could be anything from a heater circuit failure to the drain pump being jammed. Try to see how many times the light blinks, and which ones blink--there could be, on the first part of the sequence, normal light, then, 2 or 3 lights blink-- I need to know which ones are lit. It sounds like you will need to Reset it. The modern method is using a combination of key presses. In the old days there was a hidden recessed red button hiding under the Total, or Sub Total button. Pressing that button clears all memory including X and Z Totals.

Once you get the error light that means you are entering a user code that was deleted when the batteries went dead . Simply use the master code in your owners manual to open the safe. Reprogram new user code instructions bottom of this page.

How to reset or change your lock combination:

• 1. Enter "zero" six times.
• 2. Enter your existing six (6) digit combination one time. (or 123456, factory default if you haven't changed the combination yet.
• 3. Enter your NEW six (6) digit combination two times.
• 4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds and repeat steps 1 - 3.
• 5. Test lock operation several times before closing the door.

CAUTION: When selecting a combination do not use birthday or other predictable data that could give correlation between the user and combination.

• Valid Combination Entry - Double signal after valid six (6) digit combination is entered.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Triple signal indicates the old combination is still valid.

enter code 14.if the error does not disapperer it is termistor error in fusing system.

it's time for trial and error thing.i assumed you already know how to enter the access codes.try different three combination numbers including zero.like 000,001etc.

Try new batterys ,also sometimes if too full ,you will have to hit it hard to get the stuff off the lock bars that keep them from moving .
