ive found that bike stores (even online ones) have pedals for decathalon bikes that have the foot straps these should ***** right on to your stationary bike just the same , I will say there a bit pricey !!!

Have you updated the software? Have you contacted the manufacturyouer? It may need a software update. Without knowing the make and model it is difficult to direct you for a fix. If you have a manual, look at the trouble shooting section.

There are three main types of resistances, the fan resistance used to provide resistance with air they push as you pedal. The second type is the belt resistance which uses a belt that runs through a brake providing resistance for the exercise bikes. The third type is the magnetic exercise bike which provides resistance which can easily be adjusted while riding the bike.

A miniexercise bike is a bike with pedals and resistance parts only. It has no handlebarsor seat. You can use it while you sit on a regular chair and you can move thepedals with your hands for arm exercise.

IF you have the one i have, there is a knob with two connected arrows and a plus and minus sign. turn toward the plus, more resistance, turn toward the minus, less resistance.

I looked into this thinking is must be a simple belt, or tention wheel, but these devices are much more complex than the average exercise machine. See the Recumbent selection here.

It appears that the tentioning device is a magnetic brake.
This would require that it be plugged into a power source and programmed to provide a desired tention.
I've never used one of these so I can't say what kind of programming options there are or where they are found.
