Battery cover for BLACK Sony T70 is broken.

Hi, With a battery door like that you can tape it shut, while not the most visually appeasing fix it is the cheapest. Your other option is to order a battery door for the camera, http://www.ownta.com/sony-dsc-t70-camera-repairing-battery-door-battery-cover-replacement.html has it for $45, or you can contact Sony and order one directly from him. The only thing I'll caution you about with replacing the battery door is that you do have to disassemble the entire camera to install it.

Follow these steps:

1. Turn OFF cam
2. Remove the battery or the power supply
3. Turn the switch to CAMERA for about 30 sec
4. Turn the switch to OFF
5. Install the battery or power supply
6. Turn the switch to MEMORY
7. Open the LCD cover and press the RESET button ( small inner button )
8. You will be prompt to adjust date/time. Do it
9. Take some pictures

before trying anything else suggest you try a new battery. make sure it is manufacturer recommended battery because it does make a difference.

If its a lighter grey colored intellicode remote: There should be a small slot on the side of the remote. Use a coin such as a dime or a penny, stick it in the slot and twist. The remote should split in half and you'll see the coin-shaped battery. After you replace the battery, you can snap the 2 pieces of the remote back together.

If its a dark grey/black intellicode remote: The back cover should partially flip open to reveal the battery. This remote takes a 12volt N-size battery.

If its a keypad remote you are referring to: The bottom half of the keypad's face should slide straight down to reveal the battery (you should see and arrow and some thumb grips). All Genie keypads take 9volt batteries. Source(s): I am a genie technician

Try partstore.com they might be able to solve your problem. Also look at the latch and determine if it is attached to the front of the camera case or the back of the camers casing I am assuming it is attached to the back then you might consider caling HP back and ordering the Back or Front cover Assembly. Small pieces like this usually don't come by themselves you have to order an assembly, so when when u call for parts ask for Back cover assembly or front cover assembly, which ever it is attached to or apart of. Asking for a perticular piece they will not usually know what you need. You have to talk to them in technical terms.. Hope this helps you out...
