I replaced the power supply board with a used one, and it worked perfectly for several months when the same problem occurred while we were watching it. I tried unplugging the power cord and all inputs, but it's still blank and quiet. The power supply and other circuit boards look fine -- no bulged or leaking capacitors or burned components. I get some voltage readings on the power board's outputs, but not a 24 V output. The screen's LED backlights do not blink or light up when turned on. Should I try another power board or is more likely to be the main board? Thanks!
No 24 volts mean a bad power board. You can get a new one from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

Best send repair manual.
I have pics to show / identify problem but I cannot attach to my reply. Parts defective are: 4532M x 2 (UC2 & 3), diode next to diode RC22 & cap C35 and IC6 (cannot see part number). Board number is YPNL-M007B r1.0, also recognized L.G. Phillips part number: LC230W01-A2
My hands are not as steady as years ago to do surface mount solerering but my wife can as she has done this before being electronic equipment assembler.
As stated before I need to find source of what I suspect is short that had blown these components.
I bet a replacement board is more expencive than a new LCD TV!, but I want to resolve this prob and maybe help others...LG too.
Thanks Heaps Jaime867!

Are you certain the replacement power supply is good? A defective main board or power supply can cause this problem.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy.

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
