Is the feed dog raised into sewing position and not dropped as for darning? Feed dogs need to be in the raised position in order to pull the fabric through the machine.

If the stitch length is set too short, it will cause the fabric to barely move thereby causing the machine to stitch in one place.

Raise your presser foot and gently rotate the handwheel and watch the feed dogs. Do they rise when coming to the front of the machine, move toward the back of the machine, drop down below the needle plate, and move forward to the front of the machine again? If so, the feed dogs are working properly.

If the feed dogs never rise, they are in the dropped position for darning or free motion quilting when you would move the fabric manually.

If, on the other hand, the feed dogs do not move at all, then they are seized and you should probably get your machine serviced.

At the very back of many sewing machines, there is a switch that controls the feed dogs. The position that your feed dogs are in now are "dropped" which is best for free motion sewing, like for darning or quilting. To get to the feed dog switch, sometimes you have to remove the extension table. The switch merely raises the feed dogs or lowers them.

Pressure foot wont go fully down

The pressure foot is only made to push down on the material, not the feed dogs. If you put it too low it will destroy the feed dogs and the pressure foot as well as the material.
1. To adjust, lower the pressure of the pressure foot as much as you can.
2. Place a thick piece of material under the foot. Turn the hand wheel until the feed dogs are up.
3. The pressure foot rod has a screw that holds it into place. You will adjust the rod by moving it up and down until there is a small amount of pressure on the material. Tighten the screw and try your machine without a needle to see if the material will move. Now, try other thicknesses of material. The rod may need to be slightly adjusted a small amount to get it "just right".
4. PUT IN NEEDLE AND CHECK FOR ALIGNMENT TO THE HOLE. (DANGER IF NOT ALIGNED).

My sewing machine wont RUN. The needle goes up and down but the material wont move along.

under the foot around the needle, there should be two rows of what look like teeth, these pull the material through and there will be an adjustment mechanism on the machine. Try leaving the foot up while you run the machine, you should see the teeth going up and down; if they are it is most likely just a case of setting up the amount of pull. I think it is adjusted with the wheel that sets the length of stitch.

Brother CS6000i with setting 00 for straight line stitch is making a left curve stitches instead going straight.

***Your feed dog under the pressure foot seems to be pulling on one side a little harder which indicates wear. It is likely to solve the problem by replacing the feed dog.
***Before you do this try to lower the pressure on the pressure foot. If the material you are sewing is thick it will have an effect on the pull of the feed dogs. The material you are sewing that you sent appears to be jeans material. It looks like it is thick and somewhat slippery.

Feed dog stopped moving. Is this something I can fix or should I cough up $150 for the repair?

Have the feed dogs been left down? If not, then they may need a clean, take a toothpick or toothbrush and gently clear all the ridges as threads and debris get stuck in there and stop it doing its job of moving material.

My feed dogs will not pull my material through.

Check to be sure you have not inadvertently dropped the feed dogs on your machine. Dropped feed dogs are used for 'darning' or 'free motion quilting.' Below is info from Troubleshooting Manual:

Fabric does not feed through the machine
The feed dogs are lowered. Use the feed dog position switch to raise the feed dogs. 81
The stitches are too close together. Lengthen the stitch length. 42
The wrong presser foot was used. Attach the correct presser foot. 179
The needle is bent or blunt. Replace the needle with a new one. 34
The thread is tangled. Use scissors, etc., to cut the tangled thread and remove it from the race, etc.

Have checked all settings but material does not feed under the foot when stitching ?

the no oil necessary mean the machine is self oiling that was done
from the factory,
most all sewing machine have feed dogs,,check in the needle plate area for the feed dogs and see if they are up or down, if they are down
look in the book to see where the lever is to move the feed dogs back
up to the sewing position.
but it the feed dogs are in the up position then the feed dogs need
to be checked to see if they need some type of adjustment.

The material feed isn't working on the borrowed machine that I am using. Is there an adjustment? I have to feed the material by hand!

Are the feed dogs up? Can you see them moving?
Sew without fabric and you should see the feed dogs moving back and forth under the needle plate. There may be jammed threads in it if it is not moving. Not sure about your machine but most needles plates either flip up or can be unscrewed to check underneath for clogging.
