Frigidaire front loader stops for a minute than spins,making awful squeak and when I moved think something broke and now the whole thing moves I found a piece of metal when I took the back off

There's a few things that cause this and there may be no easy answer. Is the washer on the second floor? Is the washer on a ceramic tile floor? ...wait a minute, you said it vibrated the whole house so this makes me think the floor has some "give". If any of these there is no easy fix. I've seen ONE thing that does work though. It's a pedestal that spans under the washer AND dryer, one long one which distributes the weight and vibration. I don't know where to get one but I do know they are out there. One of my customers had one and I took notice because the floor was ceramic tile and the washer wasn't vibrating all over the place. It was very stable.

When you take off the back panel, check to see if both shock absorbers are intact. We were having some problems with our (ATF6000E) Frigidaire front-loader recently too. I noticed that one of the shock absorbers was broken, for about $25 I got a replacement (two of them, I couldn't find just one). It took about 15 minutes to replace. No problems. With mine, though, I think because the drum was moving around, it dislodged some wires which made it stop filling up with water after a few seconds. I did a test and it said E5E. I would check to replace your shock absorbers before doing any more laundry so your machine will still work and not have other problems like mine.

My Frigidaire front loading washer is less than 2 years old and YES there is a belt, I am going to replace my 3rd belt this week.....the wheel on the back of the drum has moved enough, even after numberous times of tightening, that it has worn a HUGE hole in the back of the drum from the belts. I will NEVER buy another product from them again, due to not standing behind their product and sending a repair man to my home to fix it, then telling me that I will have to replace the drum....(ltf2940es0).

This can be a symptom of drum bearing wear. A quick check for wear is to see if the inner drum moves up and down relative to the fixed outer drum. It should only move a minute amount. If it moves more than a millimeter or two, it is probably worn bearings. Regarding the bad smell - Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put in the powder's drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and remove out the bad smell.
