Your brew unit is probably dirty and needs cleaning. However, it won`t always help just running the cleaning program. Try to clean out all the used ground that is stuck inside the brew unit; use your fingers or a toothbrush maybe. Then run the cleaning program. It may be smart to run the program once or twice after this too, but you don`t have to use the tablet everytime.

It is the grounds blade that holds the used ground container so you can`t get it out. This means that the brew unit stops in a wrong position, and don`t get back to grinding position before timeout. If you shut down the machine for a few hours, it usually moves back during startup. But of course; this indicates that you need to clean up inside...

Red light won't stop flashing. Parts are in place

Be sure all coffee grounds are cleaned from beneath the water tray and the grounds tray and the coffee brew group. We had the same problem but finally redid everything, including cleaning the coffee brew group under hot water, drying and replacing carefully until it clicked in place. The moving parts of brew group have to be in exactly the right place. Good luck!

I cannot remove the brew unit. Talea Giro

The brew unit is cross threaded, you will have to either force it back into the lock position or forward into the unlock position without stripping the threading. Unlocked is of-coarse the best...and the best way to do that I can think of is to try and loosen the base as much as possible.

If it's really not moving, one thought is to place the unit in a large garbage bag to water proof it with the top exposed. Submerge the base in warm water with the top exposed but careful to keep the unit dry. Rest an ice pack on top then attempt to open after several seconds or use a cold cloth to try and force the arrows in the brew unit to align.

To minimize the damage, use quick fast jerky movements to move it into place slowly rather than long drawn-out pressure.

The brew unit is not tamping the ground coffe properly.

Give the brew unit a good wash, then lube all the moving parts with food grade grease.
If you are able dismantle the brew unit and wash in warm soapy water, this removes coffee and any old lubricant.

Hi
Check behind the drip tray for coffee grounds. Make sure that your drip tray is locked in. If its not fully locked it, this could be your problem. If everything is removed but the brew unit, grab the handle without pushing the press button, and pull. If the brew unit comes out, it wasn't locked in. Put the drip tray in. Set the brew unit on the drip tray. Now slide the brew unit towards the machine with a little force and see if that locked it in?

The axle (?) that fits into the brew group seems to be struggling

The lubrication goes on the brew unit, there may be grounds on the rails and around the chamber where the large O-ring is located.

No coffee, water going to the drip tray

OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.

We had another problem like this just this week.

The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant

Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.

Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.

Brewing system jammed - Delonghi Magnifical 3200

Ran into this same problem this week - brew /infuser unit is stuck at the bottom of the machine and it doesn't seem to want to move. Cannont replace the drip tray/grounds catching container. After speaking with Sam a wonderful customer service rep at DeLonghi (866-528-8323) I learned the following that saved me from having to send the machine in for repair which could take 2-3 weeks.
  1. Make sure that the machine is unplugged before attempting this repair process.
  2. Open the front door of the machine so that you can see the brew unit.
  3. Take the grounds catching container only (without the drip tray) and put it into position where it would normally be seated.
  4. Carefully try closing the front door.
  5. If the door will not close with the container in position, carefully reach under the door and apply gentle pressure to lift up on the container so that the door can then close.
  6. Plug your brewing machine in. It should power on and then make an internal adjustment which will raise the brew/infuser unit up enough to then be able to once again replace the drip tray and grounds container back into position.
  7. If it does not raise high enough, try unplugging the machine again, wait about 5 seconds and then repeat the same process just described.
  8. Once you are able to replace the tray and container, power the machine on.
  9. Have a cup ready to place under the dispenser as it will release water and coffee as it preps itself for operation again.
Hope this helps those of you who are experiencing this same scenario.
