Hi I bought samsung galaxy note tablet 10.1 and when I tried to charge there is like charging but is going low what I need to do , please help?

You might need a new battery. I had a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S (8.5" screen). It wouldn't stay charged for long, and would turn off if the battery level got to 1/2 to 1/4. I've had the tablet ever since it came out years ago, so I thought maybe the battery had lost its ability to charge or maintain a constant flow of electricity to keep the electronics happy. I ordered a replacement battery offline and have had no problems. I figured buying a battery and trying that as a fix is cheaper than buying a new tablet. (If it didn't work, I would buy a new tablet.) Now when the battery level gets low, the tablet stays on, doesn't flicker off or freeze like it used to do, and works okay. You can watch a video online how to open the tablet back and replace the battery, plus you get it on a DVD with the battery. The original battery is glued into the tablet; it seems as though you're destroying the tablet when you try to lift it out -- but if you go slow and gently pry it up, it should be okay. It was a gamble and it paid off.

How do i restart my tablet /

If the usual methods do not work, try letting the tablet sit while on and unplugged until the charge drains to zero. Then the tablet will shut off. Plug it in and charge it fully and then turn it on. Worked for me and have had no problems since.

My Linx 7 tablet keeps dying even if I;m not using it. Constantly needs to charge can I change the settings to stop this

Are you actually turning the tablet off when you are not using it? (Hold down power button until Power Off box appears on screen)? If not, your tablet is constantly using power even with the screen blanked and will drain the battery. You could have a bad battery that is no longer holding its charge. How long can you run the device off the charger continuously? That length of time might indicate the state of the battery. Check the manual for expected battery life, which for a Linx 7 is usually 4 hours or less.

Battery will charge to 100% only 50%

Morning Emily,

A couple of questions, then a couple of ideas.

  1. Are you using the charger that came with the tablet or are you using a universal charger?
  2. Do you leave the tablet on the charger a lot of the time or do you only charge it when it gets very low on charge?

Often devices like these need to be drained periodically so that your battery does not develop a shallow cycle. Shallow cycle can often occur whenever a device is charged often before it actually gets down to a low percentage of this battery capacity. If you have been typically keeping it charged without letting it drain I would suggest leaving it on and letting it drain fully and then try to recharge again.

If you have not been doing constant charges as described above, then it sounds to me like either you have a bad charger or there something wrong with the battery in your device. I'm going to provide a link to a Page on the next book site so that you can see some of the information related to your device.

I think the biggest questions to be asked are, a) is the charger that you're using putting out sufficient power to charge the battery properly, or b) is the battery in your unit defective. These questions can probably be best answered through the store which you purchased it, such as a Best Buy or wherever it is that you got it. They should be able to analyze the output of the charger to see if it's correct. If it is correct and again if you've not been doing the shallow cycling then that would indicate a problem with the battery.
I'm including some links below that might be helpful for you. The first one is to a knowledgebase article dealing with battery and battery life. The subsequent links are for the manual and also for the technical specifications for your device. The tech specs will probably help as far as your battery and also what should be the output of your charger.
