I have an hp laptop with webcam integrated n i had a problem with it when i just bough the laptop, i dont remember how but i fixed the prob n the camera started to work properly.. the same problem is hapening now n i dont remember how to turn on the webcam again.

what OS , no OS state, is this dead XP, ?

looks like support is until 2021... good news for you.
what I'd do is back all those drivers up so you dont need to find them when they get corrupted.

However, if the notebook is still using the original Windows 7 operating system, you should use the HP Media Smart webcam application. If the notebook operating system has been changed to XP, there is no XP compatible version of WebCam. You should consider using one of the instant messaging programs that is available for different operating systems.

its a common problem with 1525. remove webcam ventral software from programs and features and then reinstall the application from the cd. it will fix it. remember Dell web cam central

select your model number from this list then download the driver for your web cam then install in computer thats it.

The webcam is integrated, i called that 'on-board'.
Meanwhile HP support have provided a perfect solution by suggesting that the Quickplay application be removed from the windows startup sequence. The webcam is no longer locked and can be addressed at will.
