SOURCE: bosch washing machine

i am recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, the rear door seal clamp is generally nowadays a large thin spring that is slightly hidden by the concrete weights at the front of the drum, if thats the case the door seal will just come off with a good firm pull round the drum edge, fitting as a reverse of removal, place the door seal in the groove so it fits like it should, then stretch the spring and fit that into the outer groove round the lip of the door seal at the drum end, once that is done fit the seal on the front panel lip, then replace that clamp, check all is fitted securely before running machine its one of those jobs that hard to explain how to do it, hope i have helped a bit, its easier to work through the front door opening than from above? if i have please rate me thank you

SOURCE: removing front panel from kenmore elite HE-3 front load washer?

If you've removed the screws and the panel sticks, tapping on each side will knock it loose. The panel should drop down, then off. You can also try propping the two front feet of the washer up slightly for better access. A 2x4 works real well. This will allow more room for the panel to drop and gives better access to the screws. The washer is very heavy, so you may need some assistance to lift the front. Either lift from the bottom, or place your hands on the front facing of the cabinet to push the washer back. DO NOT push on the door or control panel.

If you still need assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I am just trying my new elyptical and it is very hard to glide feels like level 15 on level 1. What could be causing this?

follow the steps and fix it. God bless you
Start with the right pedal. Remove the bolt that attaches the pedal to the coupler. Remove the coupler, and then disconnect the bolts that attach the pedal to the actual machine. Repeat on the left side. On either side of the machine's base are two "Shrouds," or casings. Remove these.

  • 2 Locate the crank cover to the base. There will be one on each side. Remove these. By kneeling down and looking into the base, you will locate the drive belt.
  • 3 Disconnect the belt from the cranks and pulleys inside the base and remove.
  • 4 Stretch the replacement belt over the left crank, and then fit over the pulley. Pull the belt over the motor pulley.
  • 5 Align the magnetic bearings, which will be on the right hand side. Kneel next to the right crank and find the switch that is located next to the pulley. Turn the pulley until a magnet is visible, and set the magnet next to the switch. Adjust the switch's position by loosening the holding screw and moving the switch as close to the magnet as possible without their touching. Replace all cranks covers and shrouds. Make sure all removed parts are refitted.

  • However you must replace the batteries+clean contacts batteries.
    2) and cleand the keypads from corrosion, dirty, oxide, and tight very well the ribbon cable and clean with c. cleaner. 3) adjust the reed switch see the diagram.
    God bless you

I want to change the door seal on a w970 how do i open the front to access the seal, and any other problem that i may come across ?

    Hi,

There is a very useful video here that demonstrates the process for changing the seal on a front loading machine. Additional instructions for Miele are also included.

Click here to view and then click play to see video tutorial

    As to the process for replacement door seals - this is generally the same for all Miele frontloaders and the instructions I have included below are generic for Miele and should also apply to your model;

    1. Open the machine door.
    2. Turn the main power off and unplug the machine from the wall.
    3. Completely remove the powder dispenser drawer. There is a small button at the rear of the dispenser which you need to depress to remove it fully. Once you have withdrawn the drawer to its stop position you should see it.
    4. Undo and remove the 3 x hexagonal head bolts surrounding the door seal. Note these bolts actually secure the front panel to the machine chassis. They do not retain the door seal.

    5. Now look inside the powder dispenser drawer where you removed the actual drawer earlier. In the lower left hand corner you should see a recessed philips head screw. Undo and remove that screw.
    6. Locate the underside of the front panel right at the bottom. About an inch or so in from the left hand edge you should see a spring loaded clip which located within a slot on the underside of the front panel. Using a flat bladed screwdriver, you need to carefully lever the spring clip open whilst gently pulling the whole front panel from the left side. It should pop out for you.

    7. Open the pump access door lower on the left hand side of the front panel and unclip the drain tube from its plastic retaining clip.
    8. Now carefully swing open the whole front panel. It is hinged on the right hand side.

    9. Unseat the rubber door seal from around the door opening area so that the seal falls inside the machine.
    10. There is a thin steel band holding the door seal in place around the drum. On the right hand side there is a tensioning screw for the band. With a flat bladed screwdriver undo this completely and remove the screw Retain this as you will need it later.

    11. Extend the steel band and remove it.

    12. Remove the old seal completely.
    13. Reassembly is the reverse of removal. Ensure you have fitted the new seal correctly back. There is a lip on the seal and this has to go over the lip on the drum. Remember, the seal goes on the outside of the drum. Ensure the 'tag' is at the 12 o'clock position.

Thanks for using FixYa. Please do leave a vote for the solution.

Ice chute make noise when closing

this disp has a friction motor that delays the dispenser door when it closes. this friction motor has gone bad and needs replacing here is the part number 1120581 this part is fairly easy to replace yourself.
    • remove disp cover. older units had 2 small philips screws in bottom of front cover, newer ones will have 2 slots that you have to use flat tip screw driver to pry cover off.
    • remove screws holding switch bracket there are 3 of them
    • bracket should be movable out of the way now
    • you will uncover the fricton motor it is held in place with one screw with an arm attached to the disp door and lever.
    • just remove screw and remove motor and reinstall new motor and all parts in reverse order.
BTW this motor is not electrical so no wiring to do. the noise you hear is annoying but as long as the disp door continues to close it will be ok if you dont want to replae it at this time. if i an help you any further please ask thanks Peyton

I think the belt has snapped

It is rather tricky to fit new belt.
Briefly, remove top cover, remove right hand side panel, there are screws at the back and bottom front, remove any other scews that you can see that hold the panel in place..
The front panel has to be pulled forward to enable the new belt to be fitted. You might have to loosen left hand panel as well to do this.
Fit the belt round the drum and force it over and round the motor pulley
This is a very difficult job, as the belt is a stretch belt
and appears to be too small, so you will really struggle to fit it, you will probably find it helps if you can lever it on with a screwdriver or similar.

Again, it is a difficult job to undertake, so unless you are confident you can do it, get some one in to fix it for you.
    Plz rate my solution.
    Thanks.

Replacing door chute on kenmore refrigerator 57562792

first of all unplug the refrig.

look at the bottom of the disp cover and you will find 2 slots for you to slide in a flat tip screw driver. carefully pry the bottom of the cover loose 1 side at a time.once this is loose, either remove the 2 screws that hold the switch housing in place or release the clips ( depends exactly onwhich model you as to wether there are clips or screws) once this is free remove the plastic funnel, by this point you should see how the chute door removes.

a few notes the disp cover can be hard to remove but it will come loose also reinstalling just hit it firmly over each clip witht he palm of your hand.

    good luck..
