I purchased an jetway 939 gt motherboard and wanted to move my existing hard drive procesor etc. to it. When I put all the components on and power it up, the first time it will bring up windows and everything. When I put the install disk in and due what the manual tells me to do and restart my pc i keep on getting an error message of some exe. file or something. When I move all my components to my old motherboard i have to do an complete system restore from its original production date before it will work again. I do apolagize that I dont remember the exact error it gives me. What am I doing wrong?
What install disk are you talking about, and sorry ,need to know the error too.
Chek for RAM if installed correctly ( unplug then plug it back)
get to the mainboard
there is a jumper near the cmos battery usually shows the
word (jbat) near it , try to change its position for some
seconds while power is off , this way will clear cmos and set the
mainboard bios to default settings.
start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup then load system defaults exit saving changes.
if the problem still exist try to re install your os :
insert os bootable cd
hit delete or F2 to enter setup while starting computer
select boot priority or first boot device as "cd rom"
exit saving changes.
boot only 1 time from cd and then follow the installation wizard steps.
