My monitor is not displaying after few minutes when it starts

Hope this helps.... Your monitor has an inverter issue. You know it's an inverter problem when:
1. Your monitor starts normally and displays the startup/desktop screen for a while.
2. Then it suddenly goes off, leaving a blank (black) screen or a very dim display.

I would bet you have a bad sensor. There are a couple of sensors that monitor heat. When it gets too hot they shut it down as a safety precaution. Once it is cool enough it will start up again.

It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display screen goes blank after few seconds, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Clean the wires real well before resoldering.

Sounds like the lcd is bad but here is a way to verify that. Hook up a known working monitor to the computer, if the colors stay great after a few minutes then you know the original monitor is good.

If the colors turn blue and green after a few minutes with the working monitor then you know for sure that the video card is bad and the video card would need to be replaced.

The contract button seems to be stuck. Try pressing the button hard a few times and see if it helps. If the contract button still keeps poping up and it may be a physical problem with the button there.

Manufacturer out of business. Local repair shops want more $ to fix than the cost of a new one.
Solution --- Trash old and replace with new display.

My MD7317 did the same thing until I actually installed the driver for it. My windows did not have the correct driver in it's driver base, so I found the driver online ( took a few minutes of searching) and within a few minutes of installation the monitor displayed a great colorful picture. Naturally, I had to use another monitor while I was searching. Driver is about 3.3 megs. It came in a zip format. I did not keep track of the link to driver, but it omly took a few minutes to locate it.

You have either a short in the cable, or your display screen(if it's CRT) is dying.
