And, regarding printing in black color only, you need to give it a print command and the click on prefrences button and from there select print in grayscale and then you will be able to print.

Remove the black ink cartridge and examine the print head on it - you will probably find a small piece of tape (very thin) covering the jets - usually blue in color - remove it and reinstall the cartridge.
First remove the driver from the device manager, Start --> Type in --> devmgmt.msc It will open window where you can locate printer driver, remove them and then insall the new one. Use this link: LexMark Printer Have a Nice Day & Best of Luck Puneet
How may times did you use the printer to print befor this happened? If you used it a lot then you may need to buy more ink. My printer showed full ink and it turned out that they were empty.
