check the bulbs first because on most cars the low beam bulbs blow out first and yes check the fuses under the drivers side dash and also the relay box under the hood if owners manual check there also to find where everything is located also if you have any after market CD player or amps check the grounds and connections on these also

It's on the driver's side. Remove all the plastic & it's in there.Big rectangle, black box,about 1.5" thick,lotta wires.

Day time running lights run low voltage to the high beam bulbs so it sounds to me like you need two new bulbs or you need to check the fuses and see if any need replaceing.

The daytime running lights run the high beam bulbs at low voltage so it sounds like you need to put the relays back where they were and either replace the low beam bulbs or repair the wiring to them. Also the relay you removed could be defective.
