Here are few steps to connect kindle to wifi:

  1. To connect kindle to wifi, first you have to make sure you have a strong and fast internet.
  2. Second step you have to remove all the barriers between the router and your device.
  3. Kindly check whether your device is fully charged or not. If not, then kindle charge it now. Because low connectivity can create the issue that kindle won't connect to wifi.
  4. After applying all three steps, check whether your device is connected to the wifi or not. If not, then try to reboot your kindle.

Hope these steps will help you to connect kindle to wifi.

Your best option may be to go ahead and tell the device to forget, then set up the WiFi connection again.

Good luck.

SOURCE: kindle is jammed on wi

Firstly, make sure that your kindle is fully charged. Then hold the power switch for 7 seconds. After the light blinks three times, release it. If this does not unfreeze your kindle, hold the power switch for 15 seconds. This should restart your kindle. If neither of these solutions work try contacting amazon kindle support, as they can remotely connec tto your kindle and see what is wrong.

SOURCE: Downloading books

If you have the 3G model of Kindle then you can download books using 3G which is like you would use with a mobile phone.

If you don't have 3G then you will need to connect to a WiFi network in order to download books directly to the Kindle. See the Connecting With WiFi Guide for details of how to do so.

You can also transfer books directly from your PC to your Kindle using a USB lead - see the video guide on how to do this.

When using my kindle reader and going to the next page all I got was a blank page and have not been able to get anything else. The reader is less than six months old.

If you are experiencing a blank page when trying to read on your Kindle, there are several things you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Restart your Kindle: Press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds until the device restarts.
  2. Check the battery level: Make sure that your Kindle has enough charge to function properly. Connect it to a power source and let it charge for a while.
  3. Check your internet connection: If your Kindle is connected to the internet, make sure that your Wi-Fi is working properly. Try disconnecting and reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Check for software updates: Make sure that your Kindle is running on the latest software version. To check for updates, go to "Settings" > "Device Options" > "System Updates".
  5. Remove and re-download the book: If the problem persists with a particular book, try removing it from your Kindle and re-downloading it.
If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Amazon customer service for further assistance.

My fire kindle will not connect to my internet services even until yesterday everything was working fine, I keep getting an ' authentication problem?

Try re-checking your wi-fi password. Log off your connection, Then try again to log-on. Make sure you have the right service, put in info and see if it takes. You may have to try a different service to see if the problem may be their's. If you logged into a different wi-fi recently you may still be logged into that one even though out of their range.

My kindle cant connect to internet

Go to the Settings Menu, Select the Wireless & VPN option and see if you are in Airplane mode, if you are turn that off. Then select Wi-Fi. See if Wi-Fi is turned on. If it's not turn it on. There should be a list of available Wi-Fi routers. If one is not selected select one that is open or that you have the password to. If none are open or they are locked and you don't have a password, you'll need to get a password for one, or install your own Wi-Fi router.

Kindle won't connect to wifi

Make sure *Airplane Mode* is *Off* in Settings.

This will turn on the Wi-Fi transceiver. In the Wi-Fi Networks section right below the Airplane Mode section you will see available Wi-Fi networks. Click the little black triangle, choose your network and enter the password. It will only automatically connect to open networks. Most networks these days are *secured* and need a password in order to share data.

How do I connect to the kindle store my kindle will not connect so I may download kindle books?

To connect to the Kindle Store your device must have either a wi-fi connection to the Internet or a 3G Whispersynch connection via a telecom. Some Kindles come with the 3G and some don't. The ones that don't require a Wi-Fi connection.

So, if you have Wi-Fi access the turn off Airplane mode in Settings and enter the Wi-Fi password to your router. If you are using public Wi-Fi such as at McDonalds you might have to
use the experimental browser in setting to be able to click the *accept terms* button or you will not have access even if connected.

My kindle wi-fi keeps kicking out. I have G3 and never had to put in a specific wi-fi source. Now it continually asks me to connect, and won't even accept a proper on our home wi-fi router.

Your kindle has a sim card installed for 3G (lifetime licence paid by amazon and paid for on purchase price on the unit) but that is not related to the wi-fi function on your kindle. Your wi-fi service needs to be logged in to with the same password as you use to log any computer on to your router when at home or whatever wi-fi password is required when elsewhere (e.g a bus, train or restaurant).

How to tune in kindle to wi fi?

From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
Select Settings, and then select view next to Wi-Fi Settings.
In the list of detected networks, choose a network to connect to it.
If your Wi-Fi network and router support WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), your Kindle will detect it.
If you don't see your network in the list, you need to add the network manually.
If the network is protected by a password or WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), enter the password and then select Submit. If you don't know the Wi-Fi network password, contact the person who set up the Wi-Fi network. After you connect to a Wi-Fi network, your Kindle automatically connects to it again whenever that network is in range. If more than one network is in range, your Kindle automatically connects to the last network used.

I do not have wireless at home. Received the 3g version of kindle for christmas. It worked all this time. Today, it will not connect. Sees all sorts of wireless connections which are all password...

You are mixing up two things: 3G and Wi-Fi.

3G is a mobile phone data service, supported by selected Kindle devices. Your Kindle 3 3G has a SIM card built inside, just like the fingernail-size chips you put into a mobile phone. Amazon set up contracts with phone service providers in many countries so you can use it to download books to your Kindle at no extra costs for you other than the higher price of Kindle 3 3G compared to the non-3G version. You do not need any extra hardware for this to work, and it will work in most places of the world. This is the guarantee you were promised.

Wi-Fi is a wireless communication standard all Kindle devices support. While most hotels, airports and some restaurants provide free Wi-Fi access for guests, you need your own WLAN router at your home, and pay for your own broadband internet service. The "all sorts of wireless connections which are all password protected" belong to your neighbors and they are password protected so that nobody can take a free ride on the service they pay for.

You can tell the connection status of your Kindle from symbols in in the status bar, at the top right of the screen:
  • If it shows "OFF", wireless connectivity is deactivated and you cannot access the internet from your Kindle, or download books.
  • If it shows "Wi-Fi", the Kindle is connected to a Wi-Fi network. The five bars right of the symbol represent the connection's signal strength, the more bars are black, the better.
  • If it shows "3G", you are connected via 3G mobile data service. The bars right of this symbol refer to mobile phone service signal strength, much like a mobile phone would show you.
If you do not have internet connection with wireless LAN at home, you need to set up your Kindle to use the 3G service. This is the default setting when the device is delivered to you, and I believe it worked until you or somebody else inadvertently changed the configuration.
Follow this step-by-step procedure:
  1. Switch on your Kindle.
  2. Press the "Home" button.
  3. Check the status bar. Does it show the "3G" symbol? If yes, how about signal strength? If you are somehow blocked from mobile phone antennas in your area, signal strength will be low and the Kindle will not have internet access. Move around and see if it becomes better.
  4. Does it show the "OFF" symbol? If yes, press the "Menu" button. A menu of commands should open. Use the four-way button just below "Menu" to underline the top-most option "Turn Wireless On" and press the center of the four-way. The menu list will close, and after a moment Kindle will try to connect to the internet.
  5. Does it show the "Wi-Fi" symbol? If yes, I assume you accidentally connected to a neighbor's Wi-Fi network and its firewall protected, or is too far away to use it. In this case, press the "Menu" button to open the command menu. Use the four-way button just below "Menu" to underline "Settings", second option from the bottom, and press the center of of the four-way. The settings menu will open. Use the four-way button to navigate down to "Wi-Fi Settings" (the text "view" must be underlined) and press the center of the four-way. The list of Wi-Fi networks open. Navigate down using the four-way to any network with the text "forget" on it and press the center of the four-way.
Please let me know if you encounter problems in following these instructions, and I'll try to assist you further.
