Be carefull, never use force. Check if you don't try to put in the card the wrong way around. Then check if nothing is damaged inside the memory slot. You need a bright light and perhaps a magnifying glass, because everything is very small. Compare the memory slot with a memory slot from another camera. Watch how the little knobs on the side look. I don't mean the contacts. When the contacts are bent, there is a possibility someone once pressed a memory card in the wrong way around and damaged the contacts and knob to secure the card.
Step 1: A memory slot is a slot in your motherboard where you place your RAM (Random Access Memory) card. If the RAM is not detected, the RAM slot or the RAM card itself may be malfunctioning. Place the RAM card into another memory slot in your motherboard and see if the card is detected. There are two possible reasons for this error.Either memory card is corrupted or your cell phone memory card slot is got damaged.
IF your memory is got corrupted then you can troubleshoot your memory card by inserting in another phone.If it is not working then your your memory card is got expired.There is nothing you can do.
If your memory card is working then your phone memory card slot is damaged.You can get it repaired by your nearest customer services center.

The reason there is an error message on your memory card is because the memory card might have been damaged or probably not inserted properly.
To find out if the memory card is damaged, try to use the memory card in other devices that supports the memory card to see if it works. If it works on other devices, then the problem if from the card reader that is in the camera, and if it does not work, then the memory card is faulty. And the only solution is to replace the memory card.
To test the slot in the camera, try a tested okay memory card on it, if it does not work then the slot is faulty and to solve this problem, i will strongly advice you take the camera to a camera repair guy to clean the slot for you.

1.this may be because the slot in which you are putting the card may be damaged so it is not detecting the memory card.
2.the solts may contain dirt/dust which is preventing the contact surfaces to come in contact with slot.clean the contact surface on both memory card and the device where yo u trying to put it.
3.the memory cards may be damaged due to external shock so you need to change the memory card itself
it is advisable to buy a AIO (All in one) card reader, you can use this to many different type of memory card, the built in slot for memory card in your laptop sometimes only suite to a single type or model (ex. SD slot..MMC Slot etc.)
in your case your memory card is not fit to it, don't force it you might damaged your card

I think the slot where you insert the memory card has been damaged or it doesn't make contact with memory stick. See inside slot in good light, hope you will find damage/tilted pins there.
if the problem is not the memory stick, then you have a damaged card slot in the psp.
when you insert it on slot, you must make it slowly. if you strongly inserted it, you must have damaged it. or in better cases you have a dirt, faulty contact in slot.
first, look inside the slot, and try to see if the contacts are intact and lined with each other, something like this: | | | | | | | if you see that some of the contact are out of place ( | | | / | | | ), you must take it back in place. the same problem happens with nintendo ds games. if dirt, buy a cleaning kit and clean the contacts.
