SOURCE: Cannot print in black only

It is not wise to leave the cartridges empty, causes permanent print-head damage on the empty color area. However, if you want to use the other color, say "black", bypassing the cartridge check is simply resetting the counter of the printer... download the utility file "sscserve.exe" you can search it on the internet. Install it then choose your printer on its list box, then by right-clicking on the printer icon of the utility at the bottom right of your window... you should be able to see what you need. Happy printing!!!

SOURCE: EPSON BX300F BLACK PRINT HEAD BLOCKED TRIED TO

If you've cleaned the heads, and swapped the cartridges then it doesn't sound too good.
if you do a google search for Epson Printer Repairers in google with your location so like Cambridge or whatever they'll need to take a look.
You could also check to see if its under warranty - put your serial number in here;

SOURCE: black will not print!

Hello.

Inkjet printers have the major disadvantage of having often having clogged print head cartridges that can be very annoying in the long run. Though advanced inkjets might possess their automatic print head cleaning process, this might not work every time. The problem might be because a layer of thick ink might have blocked the holes of the printer head.
There are some useful ways to get the printer's head clean without having to buy another cartridge.

Using a syringe and some alcohol to unblock the holes can also be very effective.
Step 1: Remove the cartridge from the computer
Step 2: With the syringe, take in some alcohol and put in some drops in the tiny hole where the ink runs from the ink cartridge to the head of the printer.
Step 3: When done, put the cartridge (only where the tiny holes are found) in some warm water. If some ink runs in the water, it means that the holes have been unblocked.
Step 4: Hence, let the alcohol act for 20 minutes on the ink before putting the cartridge back in the printer.
Step 5: Run some test prints before using the printer normally.

Note: I would suggest you to do an automatic head cleaning each time before any printing task. Hence it will reduce the risk of having the print heads blocked by dried ink.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: my epson stylus cx6000 has stopped printing black.

Be sure you are using genuine epson ink. Epson printers are "smart" and will not allow generic ink to work properly. Even after you replace a generic with a genuine it may take several print outs and alignments to get it to print again.

Cannon MG6120 printer will not print text. I have cleaned print heads several times. I think I have a clogged print head. Which of the 2 black ink cartridges prints text? How do I clean a clogged print...

I think you need to do is reinstall you software driver for the print program and start with known parameters. Then you can try to clean the heads. You should get something out of the printer if the heads are plugged it might be a dot or smear on the paper.

My Pixma mp830 will not print black text. What do I do?

Hy, your printhead has dry ink inside. Try to put the print head in ditiled water ( NOT tap water) and live it over night. If that dosent help try in warm distiled water and live it over night. Be careful not to put the print head in the printer when is wet...let it dry for 2-3 hours. If still dosent work you need to replace the printhead.

Our Pixma MP830 will not print black text. We've replaced both black cartridges to no avail. It prints color text with no problems. Any ideas?

First of all the print head is clogged just because you have tried to print repeatedly while some of the cartridges are empty. This results ink burn in the nozzle and clog. My recipe: Heat some drinking water in the kettle (70-80 C). Put the head in it and shake gently several times until ink is completely clean (10 minutes). Change the water do the same again. Change the water again (70-80 C) this time put a spoon full of apple vinegar (becomes a natural acidic solution very dilute) shake again, clean with cotton stick. I did it and started to love my mp800 again as much as I just bought it, all colours come back and started to print superior photos again...... Do not touch heads' copper poles and cartridges poles because of the static electric they may mulfunction and colours may becaome totally mixed for a short while...

I replaced the printhead back in january, but did not use the printer. it has been packed up until now. i replaced the ink cartridges and put in the new print head. but cannot see the text or anything...

It is not clear which print head you changed. some time the printer, if it has 2 different print head, for black and color, you may have to try changing the black print head.
But before doing all that , make sure that the ink cartridges are full.
print an alignment page and then try to make a standalone copy.

clean the ink cartridge with lint free cloth. Also check the preview of the text before printing.

You may also try to do a complete uninstall and then reinstall of the printer driver.

Only prints black ink text; cartridges full and good.

Run head cleaning and deep head cleaning for few times. If it doesnt help, you can try to remove print head, and clean the nozzles with distiled water.
And after that also run few times head cleaning mode.

Black is not printing. Have changed cartridge twice and cleaned heads several times

Most likely the printer head is clogged either you have had a bad cartridge that was dried out and dried all the black ink in the brothers.
the only way to clear this up is take it to a place that cleans the head manually, or try top get to the printer head and clean them yourself.
