Try the usual reset procedure. Turn key to "on", wait 15 minutes, turn off, then try to start.

I put a battery in my Ford truck that was bad and it killed the motor and now it won't start.

Does it have and alarm or immobilizer? I don't know on a vehicle that age, but if it does, when you disconnect the battery, you have to reset it.

It will only damage the motor if you connect it reverse polarity. OR if you disconnected the battery with the engine still running. Time for a new vehicle!

2012 Mazda 6 I lost the fob key and battery went dead so replaced battery now alarm won't let me start my car...have another key but no fob how do I shut off alarm so I can start my car

You will probably need to replace the fob as that will contain the code to turn off the alarm and immobiliser. You might have to go to a dealership if it is a factory fitted security system.

Sounds like you have a loose or corroded battery connection. That's the typical symptom of a bad connection, when you try to crank and everything goes dead. Clean and tighten up the battery terminals and all the ground wires. Also, check and tighten the wires on the starter.

1992 saab 9000 car won't start, try to jumpstart to go get new battery when we put cables on the alarm goes off take cables off alarm stops help!

Jumpstarting cars with electronic ignition is not a good idea. Your car is also fitted with an immobilizer, hence the alarm going off. Get someone to drive you to a place that sells suitable batteries, and fit the new one. You should be fine.
