It still shows the f25 error is there a way to reboot or over ride the error code. It sits with the sensor light on and all lights works. just doesn't want to work. Help 7 teenagers

this is scary. I got a brand new whirlpool duet sport I ordered from Costco.com. After 19 days of waiting for delivery it finally arrived and was installed by the whirlpool dlvy people. I read the instructions and started my 1st load within an hour of being installed. It never worked. Ok it work 6 mins and stopped on every cycle I put it on and then I got the error code 25. I called their customer svc number and they could not even tell me via the phone what that meant. I am suppose to have another delivered here HOPEFULLY next week but after seeing others having repeated problems I do not know if I should just say no take it all back.
SOURCE: thermador oven control panel light is not working
Please see post by bonanzsapilot on 14 March 2009; he gives exact & easy to follow directions for making this repair for <$10. It's listed uner 'Thermador SC301IT oven - FixYa'. In a separate post I added the correct capacitor numbers from Newark.com. I made the fix in abt 30 min & it's good as new. Thermador no longer makes control panels for this oven & no wiring diagram is available to help. Shop price was estimated at $500.

Hi,
If you remove three screws along the bottom front the bottom panel comes off.
On the inside, on the right wall, is a plastic bag with a paper labeled "FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY".
This has a section titled "FAILURE/ERROR DISPLAY CODES" with all the error codes along with an explanation and recommended procedure. For F25, this is:
DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR
If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.
Possible Causes/Procedure
1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms.
4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
I got this working for many on this site :)
Thanks

Did you find a solution for this issue? I have a similar situation
The "F25" indicates the INLET THERMISTOR is shorted or the INLET THERMISTOR circuit is shorted. If you replaced the inlet thermistor and control board then it may have bad inlet thermistor circuit. You should disconnect the thermistor circuit connections at the thermistor and control board and test the thermistor circuit for continuity. Check the circuit to see it happens to be open or shorted with an ohm meter.
The inlet thermistor is located on the side of the heating element housing is a thermistor and high limit combination. The part number is 8557403. The inlet thermistor portion of the thermistor/high limit will have two solid red wires connected to it. It could have faulty new thermistor or it could have an open or shorted thermistor circuit or a faulty control board. The thermistor can be checked with and ohm meter. Disconnect the two red wires and place the ohm meter leads across the two terminals. At room temperature it should measure approximately 50k ohms of resistance. If it measures 50 k, then it should be reconnected and then the sensor circuit disconnected from the control board and retested at the harness wires to see if you get the same measurement reading. If it does measure the same, and it continues to display F25, it could have a faulty control board.
What is your model number?
