There are no error codes. Broil works, the safety is not popped, tried the control board - not it. Oven heats to temp and takes a long time because I think it uses both broil and bake elements to preheat, but only broil is doing the work. When it reaches desired temp the oven temp just falls although the control board looks like the temp is correct and looks like the board and thermostat are calling for the bake element to come on properly. I think in the bake mode, only the bake element maintains the heat. Can't see how to get in there. Also there is a small hole in the bottom of the oven is there a way to patch or replace?

I have just checked the baking guide in the manual and have found that it may not be us after all. (Maybe this is why they telll us to read the whole manual. Well, I never have) According to the cooking time for Baking, the range is very extensive. For example, an angel cake at 350 could take from 28-50 minutes, buscuits at 375-400 could take 8-16 minutes, layer cakes at 350-375 could take 25-40 minutes, pound cakes at 325-350 could take 45-70 minutes and fresh pies at 400-450 could take 35-60 minutes. Basically, the baking directions on the box means absolutely nothing to use Amana oven owners. We have no choice but to cook our food or baked goods until they are cooked, whenever that may be. :) Linda

With all that you said, I would suspect an open or faulty element. It is pretty much the most obvious solution.
If you have any electronically ability and you are going to open the oven, use an ohm or resistance meter, check the amount of ohms and use the upper element as a reference for the correct reading.
The element will either read open or good. You can use a light tester also and if the light lights between the two connectors of the elements, then it is ok and look elsewhere.

Did you reset the house circuit breaker that supplies power to the oven?
Hello Nancy Keller - Typically, error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the wall oven by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.
