Hi, our lg dishwasher was working fine and drying dishes normally, and we noticed slowly but surely it isn't drying them properly anymore. When you open the door normally during the drying cycle, steam would come bellowing out, and now its hot inside, but not like it used to be. Everything on the top rack is always soaking wet, and stuff on the bottom like plates and stuff will dry pretty efficiently. What would cause the dishwaher to all of sudden stop drying the dishes, but still be hot inside and you can hear the blower on during the drying sycle? I need your help, Renee
our dishwasher is 2 years old and will not dry our dishes. Steam used to roll out of the dishwasher when in dry cycle and that will not happen any more. What is the problem? No they don't do they. Even if you don't use "Sanitize" or "Air Dry". The water doesn't get that hot either if you haven't noticed. With the new "replacement" machine, even after it's done I can't touch the dishes for several minutes. But the LG made that little jingle indicating it was done. There must be an easter egg somewhere that tells the machine to dry. Whatever you do, go and buy Dishwasher Booster, whether your store carries "Affresh" or the Oxy Clean brand, use it every cycle with your washer. You'll thank me. Your problem probably isn't listed under troubleshooting either is it? Just hang some paper towels or a dish towel nearby and expect to dry your dishes when the machine is finished washing them.
make sure the lower spray arm is free from objects in the ports and spins freely. If you still have a problem LG is offering some customers an pump upgrade free of charge depending on the age of you dishwasher
I
have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained
about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain
to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed
them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also
found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess
things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out
the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that
will help you with the online buying...
if the soap/detergent isn't completely rinsing out of dispenser, it sounds like water isn't directed the top spray-arm. possible a defective vario motor; as it directs water to the water channel that supplies water to the middle and upper spray arms.
ok ...first the average dishwasher will only heat the water 1 degree per mintue,,,now if your starting out with very cold water the dishes will never get clean check your water temp,,at start up..if you have 90 to a 100 degrees thats ok..that means we have problem in heater circuit...also turn up your jet dry level...keep me posted onthejob,,incase we have to look at heater circuit
