How do I disassemble a 20 zoom lens for a Sony V1U camcorder?

Jeff, to assemble a lens, you need a collimator to make sure all optical elements ate correct in place. You need skills and a manual, to be able to adjust all lens elements in a correct order.

Asking this question, I'm sure you don't have a manual, a collimator and you miss the skills. So if you don't want to end up with a pile if glass, unable to act as a lens, please don't try this yourself. Even Sony will not reassemble the lens if you took it apart. If you really need a lens to b cleaned, please bring it to a Sony certified service centre and ask them what it will cost to clean / replace the lens.

Nikon 35-70 2.8 AF service manual

This is the closest I can get.
But as long as you don't have the tools. Only think of a collimator, as one of them, you should not open a lens. Just a repair manual can't help. Would you operate on your own children, if you had a detailed manual, written by the best surgeon?
And if you are a surgeon, do you think you have enough electronic, mechanical and optical skills to repair a lens?

Service manual

You have to be an authorized Nikon repair center to get the manual.

Unless you have a lens collimator and other equipment needed to ensure proper alignment when reassembling the lens, I strongly suggest not doing the repair yourself. Take the lens to a good camera shop and have a properly trained and equipped professional do the job.

Service manual

If you've had this lens for some time and used it regularly you may have a cracked or broken ribbon cable connector. If the lens works OK in manual focus this could be the answer. You'll need to get the ribbon cable replaced.

Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor repair manual

The only problem with doing this repair yourself, is that upon re-assembly you will need the Nikon software and hardware to readjust and calibrate the lens. Try sending it to PhotoTech Repair Service in NYC. They are Nikon authorized, and can do the repair under warranty if you still have it. Also if you join they're facebook page, they will give you a 10% discount.
Here is the facebook page link, it has everything you need to send it in.

I want to know the parts number of the broken part of my nikon 18-200 mm VR lens so that I can order the same from nikon, thus, i need a nikon lens manual which will show the lens parts.

The only problem with ordering parts and doing a repair yourself is the re-assembly. Upon reassembly you will need the Nikon software and hardware to adjust and recalibrate the lens. This is not readily accessible as Nikon keeps this under lock and key for authorized service centers only.
Try sending it to PhotoTech Repair Service in NYC. They are Nikon authorized, and can do the repair under warranty if you still have it. Also if you join they're facebook page, they will give you a 10% discount.
