Baby Monitor False Alarm Problem

Angelcare Baby Monitor doesn't detect movement even when the baby is moving…

Had more then enough false alarms, can anyone help me fix this or tell me if this is a common problem?

You can try adjusting the sensitivity on back of the nursery unit. But the most major thing I found was to ensure the sensor pad was on a firm surface. I used a large piece of cardboard from a flattened box. Angel Care recommends plywood or similar but the cardboard worked perfect for me. Put the sensor on top of the cardboard and then the mattress on top of that. The sensor should also be placed according to directions (under child approx center of mattress).

The baby monitor false alarm problem happened to me twice, with Angelcare baby monitor, it was my fault. When I changed the sheets I accidently moved the sensor, so make sure that your sensor is in the right place.

I really like this baby monitor, helped me a lot!

My angelcare monitor AC401 is detecting movement from crib when baby not in there. I've turned appliances off and reduced sensitivity but the pendulum is swinging and it is ticking. What can I do?

perhaps the window or something is moving the crib (wind draft or a pet?)
does it happen if you move the crib somewhere else?
If not there could be just some interference

press the menu button once, then use the arrows until only the face is displayed (for sound sensing only), press select, and then the centre button.
