Brigs and S motor , check hot valve clearance as the valve stems stretch and then a valve is held partially open until it cools down
should be .010"inlet hot and .012" exhaust hot
Well of course not. When you shut the car down, all water circulation stops so engine heat goes way up. This means the radiator gets hot too, and therefore so does the AC condensor. It takes time for all these things to cool back down when you start it back up.
The coolant fan temperature sensor detects the coolant is still hot, and keeps the fans on. And remains on until engine cools down. Check the coolant when cold for proper coolant level. If fans stay on all the time, check the coolant fan relay. Good-Day! . It will happen more in warm weather than in the cooler months.
a fuel pump can cause this as when it gets hot it may shut down and restart when it cools off.the other thing it could be something(ignition module)that when it gets hot shuts down until cooled off.
The car is getting to hot and the asd ( automatic shutdown relay) is activated. Have vehicle temp checked when it shut down. The reason it shuts down when the ac is on something is causing too much of a load.
hmmm sounds like ignition module under distributor rotor button is opening up when it gets hot.after cool down will restart suggest you replace it , it's fairly inexpensive and they are very prone to heat related failure.
