In the printer software there is a counter that after printing a certain amount of pages (depending of the printer model) will display the error message and block all printing. The solution is to reset the counter to 0.
Download the http://www.ssclg.com/download/sscserve.exe (its free) once download completed click on the sscservve.exe to launch the setup of SCC service utility. When you close the program, a printer icon should appear on you taskbar.
Using the application:
Right click on the printer icon:
Among the different options provided select the Protection counter option.
Select the Show current value option. You should obtain information about the current value (number of pages already printed) and maximum value.
If the current value is greater than the maximum value, this indicates that the problem is due to the number of pages already printed.
Reselect the Protection counter option, click on the Reset protection counter and then on Clear Counteroverflow option.
The current value should be reset to 0
Restart your PC , your problem should be solved.

Reset the waste ink counter!
Assuming you have completed your modification you can reset your printers waste counter using this method (I did this and it worked on the CX6400) can't guarantee it works on all)
1. You will see big button on your printer like power on (this is on the left
2. side), black & white photocopy, color photocopy, and then the stop button (these are on the right side).
3. first turn off your printer
4. push the b/w + color + stop buttons together and hold
5. push the power on button and hold (so you'll now be holding down 4 buttons together)
6. Don't release all the buttons until you see the light indicator is blinking and then a message display on the lcd
7. release all the buttons
8. push the color button (once)
9. turn off the printer
10. turn it on again
After this one may need to reload the printer driver and locate the printer!

" parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life.

This usually happens when the waste pads become full and need to be replaced.
You can try to do it yourself like this guy did on his printer:
http://www.hm2k.com/posts/parts-inside-your-printer-are-at-the-end-of-their-service-life

you can actually just use the software to reset the printer but eventually the pads will overflow and start to leak.

The last option is too take it to Epson and ask for a quote.
